The third-largest carmaker in India, Tata Motors, has taken the entire country by storm with the launch of its new 2023 Nexon sub-compact SUV facelift. The brand-new model has received a complete overhaul on the interior and exterior, along with a ton of new feature upgrades. The company has also announced the pricing of the new model, and it starts at Rs 8.09 lakh. A few cars have started to reach the dealerships as well, and recently, a video of the second base, the Pure S variant of the new Nexon facelift, has been shared online.

The in-depth walkaround video of the all-new 2023 Nexon facelift has been shared on YouTube by The Car Show on their channel. The video starts off with the presenter introducing the newly launched model. He then states that the one in front of him is the second-to-base Pure S variant. He mentions that this particular model has been priced at Rs 9.70 lakh. He also states the company offers the new Nexon facelift in four main variants, which are the Smart, Pure, Creative, and Fearless. He adds that all three variants except the base get the options, which means they come with a sunroof.

Following the introduction, the presenter then shows the front end of this sub-compact SUV. He mentions that the second base Pure S variant gets a gloss black grille with a small Tata logo in the middle. It also gets LED DRLs up top on its new split headlamp design. He then shows the LED projector headlights of the car and adds that it misses out on the LED fog lights. He also mentions that the front gets matte black finishes on the newly designed front bumper.

After the front, he moves to the side profile of the car. He states that it comes equipped with a set of 16-inch black steel wheels with newly designed wheel covers. He then adds that the side cladding gets matte finish on fenders and door panels. He also shows the gloss black rearview mirrors with LED turn indicators and automatic adjuster. He adds that this variant comes equipped with a sunroof and a new badge on the rear door, which commemorates Tata’s 50 years in automobile production.

Moving on, the presenter then shows the rear end of the new Nexon facelift. He mentions that the new model gets a brand new design, and the main highlights are the Y-shaped LED taillights. He then adds that the car gets a red connected strip in the middle of both taillights; however, unlike top models, it does not glow. He mentions that the lower bumper houses reverse lights but misses out on the silver skid plates. He also states that the Pure S variant does not get a rear wiper and defogger as well.

After this, he moves on to the interior of the car and shows the equipment offered with the Pure S variant. He mentions that this variant misses out on the 10.25-inch digital instrument gauge cluster and 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system as well. Instead, it gets a semi-digital instrument cluster and the old 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. He adds that this variant does manage to get the new touch-based HVAC controls with two physical toggle switches for temperature and blower speed. He also shows the center console with the 6-speed manual transmission and drive mode selector.

Engine and transmission

Following the interior, the presenter opens the bonnet of the new Nexon facelift sub-compact SUV and mentions that it comes equipped with a turbo petrol engine. He states that this particular car in front of him is equipped with the 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine, which produces a maximum of 118 bhp of power and 170 Nm of torque. He adds that this engine in this car has come mated to a six-speed manual transmission. He then shows the rear seats of the car and mentions that they are equally comfortable as the front seats.
