2024 Aprilia RS457 Sportsbike Gets ‘Home Delivered’ In A Box [Video]

Aprilia RS457 home delivery

India is one of the largest market for two-wheeler brands and that is one of the main reason why we have several international brands entering our market. The bike culture in India has also grown and we now have several superbike owners in our country. We have seen several videos where people are taking delivery of their new superbike from the dealership. However, how are these motorcycles delivered to customers if you opt for home delivery? Here we have a video which shows just that.

The video has been shared by The Fat Biker on his YouTube channel. In this video Rohit Paradkar is seen getting a brand new Aprilia RS457 sportsbike delivered home. The video shows how the whole process happens and how it is delivered to him. The video starts with a truck with a large box which is neatly packed and kept at the rear.

The truck driver and his helper along with one more person then take a rope out and pull the box. Meanwhile, they have created a small ramp using metal bars to slide the box down from the trailer. Once the box was down, they carefully removed the top cover and then took away the rectangular cardboard box around the bike.

Under the carboard, there was a metal cage and the bike was placed in it. The bike was wrapped neatly in a wrap and the wrap was secured in place using a shrink wrap like material. They took off all the covers to reveal the bike. The bike was finished in black shade with Red graphics which looks extremely sporty.

The bike was secured in place using a ratchet strap. The rear suspension was completely compressed to avoid unwanted movement of the bike in any way during transportation. Once the cover was removed, the delivery person took a video of the bike to send it to the dealer. This way they can ensure that the bike was delivered to customer without any damage.

Once the motorcycle was out of the box, the owner turns the ignition ON and then starts the motorcycle for the first time. The parallel twin engine sounds pretty good in this video.

The motorcycle was first launched in December last year and the deliveries for the same have commenced recently. This is probably one of the first motorcycles to be delivered in the country. It borrows design from its bigger sibling RS660. The RS457 is powered by a 457-cc, parallel twin-cylinder engine that generates 47 Bhp and 48 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

The Aprilia RS457 gets 41 mm USD fork at the front and monoshock at the rear. Both are preload adjustable. The motorcycle gets 320 mm disc at the front and 220 mm disc at the rear.

The motorcycle comes with three riding modes, three levels of switchable traction control, dual-channel ABS and many more features. The Aprilia RS457 competes with motorcycles like KTM RC390 and Kawasaki Ninja 400 in the segment. An all-new Aprilia RS457 motorcycle would cost you around Rs 4.10 lakh, ex-showroom.
