All-New 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire Spotted Testing: Will Get Electric Sunroof

The all-new 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire was recently spotted testing in Kufri, Himachal Pradesh. This particular test mule was spotted with heavy camouflage, which managed to hide all the details. Well, nearly. One thing that was clearly visible was that the new Dzire will be coming with an electric sunroof. The new Dzire test mule was accompanied by a test mule of the new Swift and a current-generation Dzire.

The recent spotting of the 2024 Maruti Dzire was done by The Race Monkey from Instagram. The vlogger in this video was driving past the test mules of the Swift and Dzire. Both vehicles, as stated above, were covered with graphic camouflage to hide the intricate design details. However, we can still note a few key changes.

2024 Maruti Dzire: Design details

Over the last few months, we have noted that the upcoming Dzire will get a completely new front fascia. It will now look a lot more premium than the current-generation model. The main highlight will be a new grille and a new front bumper. The LED headlights will also be changed and made more sleek and modern with LED DRLs.

On the side profile, the overall silhouette will be retained by the company. This means that it will continue with its longer front end and short rear end design. The only major change we will see on the production model will be the addition of a brand-new set of alloy wheels. As for this test mule, it was spotted with the alloy wheels from the current Dzire painted in black.

Moving on to the rear, the newest Dzire test mule was covered with camouflage. So, we cannot see the design of the new rear LED tail lights or the new bumper as well. However, we do know that as part of the generation change, the company will change the design of the rear end to make it equally more premium as the front.

Interior and Features

Coming to the main highlight noted from this particular test mule, it was observed that this model will get a single-pane electric sunroof. This premium feature will make the Dzire a very desirable vehicle in its sub-compact sedan segment as Indians love sunroofs.

Currently, none of its competitors, including the Honda Amaze or the Hyundai Aura, offer this feature. What will most likely also be offered is an updated dashboard. The new Dzire will come equipped with a similar interior layout as the new Swift.

The main highlight will be a new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment screen. This is the exact same screen seen on the existing Baleno, Fronx, and Grand Vitara. It will also get an automatic climate control system, new layered dashboard design with dual-tone finish, and new AC vents as well.

Powertrain and Launch

Coming to the powertrain side of things, it will most likely feature a new hybrid powertrain. It is being reported that the company will be offering the Dzire with the new 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol engine. It will most likely produce a maximum power of 83 bhp. It has also been stated that it could also get a 12V mild hybrid system as well.

At the moment, the exact launch dates for the Dzire have not been revealed. However, we believe that the company will be launching it in the coming few months. First off, Maruti will be launching the Swift around April 15th.
