Suzuki Motor Corporation has launched the newest iteration of its popular hatchback, Swift, in Japan. Recently, a final production Swift from the Japanese car market was photographed, showing how this new hatchback will look in real life. The upcoming Maruti Suzuki Swift will be launched in India later this year and will replace the outgoing model. Here are the detailed pictures of the upcoming 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift.
Maruti Suzuki Swift: Exterior Design
The pictures of the brand-new Swift have been shared on Facebook on the Suzuki Swift Tuning page. The first picture, front left of the car, shows the addition of brand-new LED headlights with L-shaped LED DRLs integrated inside. Previous pictures have also shown that the car will get a new front grille with black surrounds. It will also get a brand-new front bumper. The overall design of the Swift has been modernized.
Next up, a picture of the side profile of this new hatchback has been shared. It can be noted that the Swift looks a lot more muscular from the side, with a strong shoulder line running from the front all the way to the back. This particular line also runs on the rear decklid and connects with the other side. The door design has also changed because of this new line, and gone are the hidden rear door handles. Instead, the car gets the more traditional door handles with request sensors on both front doors.
New C-Pillar and Other Design Details
Following this, there is a picture of the rear left quarter panel, which shows the high-gloss black-finished C-pillar between the rear window and rear windshield. This particular car was finished in a dual-tone color, with the roof finished in grey and the body finished in white with this high-gloss black separation.
There is also a picture of the brand-new alloy wheel that will be offered with the new Swift. The new car will come equipped with 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, boasting a thick turbine-style design. It will get high-gloss black elements in between the spokes, and this Japanese version was seen with disc brakes on all four corners.
Apart from the alloy wheels, a picture of the brand-new rear LED taillight has also been shared. It shows that the new car will get C-shaped LED taillights. The design and the housing of the taillight give the Swift a modern touch.
2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift: Interior
Apart from the exterior pictures, the post also shares pictures of the interior. This time around, the company has given the Swift a much more premium-looking interior. Its main highlight will be the layered dashboard, as seen on more premium models like Baleno, Fronx, and Brezza. It will also get a dual-tone color scheme.
The main highlight of the new interior will be the addition of the 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It will come with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The old circular air conditioning vents have also been replaced by sleeker rectangular AC vents. Apart from this, the car will also get a new automatic climate control system. There is a CD changer in the picture of this Japanese car, but most likely, it will not be offered in India.
There is a picture of the new seats inside the Swift as well. These new seats look a lot sportier and more supportive than the outgoing model. The ones in the picture can be seen with black fabric upholstery and white stitching.
2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift: Powertrain
The upcoming Swift in India will be launched with an all-new engine. This new engine has been named the Z12 engine, and it will be a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder engine that will replace the current 1.2-liter, 4-cylinder K-Series engine. According to reports, it will offer around 28-30 kmpl mileage. The model in the Japanese market will also be offered with a hybrid system as well. Recently, the new 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift Hybrid in white color was unveiled in Japan at the Japan Mobility Show.
