2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift: Official video shows the new car on the move

Maruti Suzuki Swift has been a popular hatchback among Indian buyers since its launch. Over the years, we have seen several iterations of the Swift, and a brand new updated Swift is expected to be launched in the market next year. The updated version or the next-generation Swift was actually showcased at the Tokyo Motor Show recently. The manufacturer had showcased the Swift concept model at the show. The production version of the Swift is also expected to look more or less the same as the concept. We now have a new video that shows the 2024 Maruti Swift in motion.

The video has been shared by Motor World on their YouTube channel. The video shows how the upcoming Maruti Swift would look in motion. The video starts by showing detailed shots of the exterior, like the front end, grille, bonnet, and headlamps. The video then gives us a glimpse of how the car would look on the road. When compared to the current version, the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Swift does look a lot sleeker and sportier.

It gets a redesigned front grille with a gloss black finish on it. This was probably done to give it a premium look. In the Indian version, we can expect decent use of chrome. The other noticeable change here is the headlamp. When compared to the current generation, the 2024 model gets much sleeker-looking headlamp units with projector LED headlamps and integrated LED DRLs. The design of the DRL is different from the existing version.

Other than this, the bumper looks heavily revised and goes well with the overall sporty character or design of the car. The Swift also gets fog lamps integrated into the bumper. The design of the bonnet is also different from the current version. Coming to the side profile, the first thing to note here is the new alloy wheels. Other than this, the manufacturer has also redesigned the rear door. It no longer gets the door handle hidden in the C-pillar.

As the car has been completely redesigned, it does look lower than the older version. Coming to the rear, the all-new Swift gets a redesigned tail lamp. It now comes with an all-new clear lens LED tail light and comes with C-shaped brake lamps in it. Just like the front, the car gets a redesigned bumper at the rear as well. The video also gives a glimpse of the interior of the upcoming Swift. The car would come with a floating-type touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, and many more modern features.

The upcoming Swift is going to be longer than the existing version; however, it would be 40 mm less tall and 30 mm less wide than the existing version. The upcoming Maruti Swift was spotted testing recently in India too. The Swift is expected to get a highly-efficient petrol engine that is currently codenamed Z12. It is said to be a brand-new 3-cylinder naturally aspirated unit that is expected to offer both good efficiency and performance. The fuel efficiency of the upcoming Swift is expected to be much higher than the outgoing model.
