Maruti Suzuki Swift Hybrid

Starting off with the most anticipated forthcoming models from the brand – the new Swift Hybrid is the first car on the roster. It has been reported that the company is planning to bring the newest iteration of its best-selling hatchback to India by September 2023. The company recently showcased the fully production-ready model at the Tokyo Mobility Show 2023. It boasted a brand new exterior and interior design; however, it still managed to maintain its unique silhouette, which we have been seeing for so many years.

The All-new 2024 Suzuki Swift, on the front, gets a new blacked-out grille, new LED headlights, a new bonnet, and a new front bumper as well. While on the side, it ditches the outgoing model’s hidden rear handle and gets the traditional door handle. It will also get a brand new set of 5-spoke diamond-cut alloy wheels. Meanwhile, on the rear as well, it will get a brand new set of C-Shaped LED taillights and a new rear bumper.

Technical details, price & variant details of 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift surfaced before launch. Coming to the main highlight of the upcoming 2024 Swift, and that is its new hybrid powertrain. Internally named the Z12 engine, the new Swift will get a 1.2-litre petrol engine which will come mated to a 48V hybrid setup. This engine will most likely come as standard with an e-CVT transmission, and according to reports, it will offer mileage in the range of 30-35 kmpl. There will most likely also be a mild hybrid version on offer as well. This model will come equipped with a 3-cylinder 1.2-litre petrol engine.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire Hybrid

Soon after the launch of the new Swift Hybrid in India, most likely the company will also follow up with the launch of the new Dzire. Historically, the company has launched both of these models in the same period, and this time will also not be an exception. We can expect the launch of the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire Hybrid around September 2024. The new Dzire hybrid will look very similar to the Swift Hybrid but will get some design alterations on the front and rear.

The main distinguishing factor between the two cars will be the addition of a rear boot on the Dzire hybrid. So far, the company has not shown any model of this car, and no test mules of it have also been spotted testing in the country as of yet. In terms of the powertrain, it too will get the same 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine mated to a strong hybrid system offering an impressive 30-35 mileage. As for the pricing, just like the Swift Hybrid, the Dzire Hybrid could also command a premium of around Rs 2 to Rs 2.5 lakh.

The last highly anticipated car on this list is the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara 7-seater hybrid. Currently, the company offers only the five-seater variant of this SUV; however, reports have stated that the development of a seven-seater variant has already begun. At the moment, the exact date for the launch has not been revealed, but it will be sometime next year. Once launched, it will take on rivals like the Mahindra XUV700, Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar, and a few others.

Internally codenamed as the Y12, this one model will most likely be offered with an increased wheelbase to accommodate the third row of seats. As for the powertrain options, they will remain the same with the company offering the mild hybrid as well as the strong hybrid powertrains. Currently, the outgoing Grand Vitara’s mild hybrid powertrain includes a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder K15C petrol engine, which produces 102 horsepower and 137 pound-feet of torque. Meanwhile, the strong hybrid engine comprises a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder petrol engine with 91 bhp and 122 nm of torque with a 78 bhp-141 nm electric motor. With these two working together, the SUV makes 114 a total Power.
