The Japanese car manufacturer Honda recently launched its first-ever compact SUV, Elevate, in the market. The SUV has been a huge success, and we have seen a rise in sales numbers for Honda as well. According to reports, the Honda Elevate has a waiting period of around 6 months. The Honda Elevate competes with cars like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, and Volkswagen Taigun in this segment. This is actually 1,147 units more than what Honda had sold in the same month last year. Honda saw a year-on-year (YoY) positive growth of 13.2 percent. When compared to August 2023, Honda sold 1,981 units more in the month of September this year. This is actually a 25 percent growth, which was mainly achieved because of the launch of Elevate. Honda Elevate has become so popular that it is outselling Honda Amaze. There are a few reasons why this is happening.

As we all know, Honda is slightly behind in the SUV game in India. All the competitors in the segment upgraded their portfolios and launched new SUVs or crossovers. With the launch of Elevate, Honda has now started attracting buyers who were slowly beginning to look for alternative options. Honda Elevate is a bold and premium-looking SUV, which is one of the main reasons why customers are attracted. SUVs are quite popular among buyers not only in India but also globally.

The Honda Elevate offers a better and more commanding seating position and higher ground clearance, features that many people want in an SUV. The Honda City and Amaze, which have been present in the market for decades, have started to look old, forcing many loyal Honda customers to switch to other brands. Honda has always been known for its reliability and refinement, which is also seen in the Elevate. It is a no-nonsense car with only an adequate number of features.

Honda has also played well with the variants and pricing of the Honda Elevate. The Japanese carmaker launched the Elevate at a starting price of Rs 10.99 lakh, going all the way up to Rs 15.99 lakh, ex-showroom. This pricing is very competitive when compared to its rivals. The Elevate is offered in SV, V, VX, and ZX trims. Even the base variant of the Elevate comes loaded with a decent number of features.

It generates a maximum of 121 Ps and 145 Nm of peak torque. Honda offers features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, a semi-digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, automatic climate control, push start/stop button, a single-pane sunroof, and Honda Sensing features. This is Honda’s version of ADAS and it comes with features including a collision mitigation braking system, road departure mitigation system, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, auto high beam, and lead car departure mitigation system.
