AI creates Indian road scenes with outlandish cars: Jet-Engine Maruti Swift to Tank Thar!

The year 2023 will go down in history as the year that saw the Artificial Intelligence revolution. Over the last few months, AI tools have taken over the world and are helping millions of people in creating content, be it in the form of text, pictures, or videos. AI is helping creators from all across the globe. Recently, taking a dip in the AI pond, we have also generated a few images of popular Indian vehicles. What we have done uniquely is given these pictures the Indian flare. So, if you also want some of the most amazing AI-generated pictures of Indian vehicles, then you have stumbled upon the right place.

Maruti Swift with a jet engine

Having fun with the AI tools, we first started off with the country’s most popular hatchback, the Maruti Suzuki Swift. For this AI image, we have and the AI image generator went a bit wild. We asked the tool to create a Maruti Swift with  a jet engine, and this is what it created! The engine is so massive that it comes out of the roof and doors of the vehicle. The Swift has also been given tasteful aesthetic upgrades such as custom alloy wheels and a body kit as well.

Superman driving an auto-rickshaw

We all love superheroes, and the most popular superhero of all time is the DC character Superman. Now, what happens when Superman comes to India? In our imagination, he won’t be saving anyone; rather, he will be helping people by giving them rides in an auto-rickshaw. We know this is completely outlandish; however, you cannot deny that it’s way too funny and amazing. The Superman in this picture can be seen chilling with shades on despite being stuck in a traffic jam.

A Flying Ambassador above the Taj Mahal

India can be summed up with these two iconic things. The first is the Taj Mahal, and the second is the Hindustan Motors Ambassador sedan. Both of these share a deep-rooted history with India. So, what happens when the imagination runs wild and they are combined? The result comes out to be an Ambassador flying in front and above the heritage monument Taj Mahal. The image looks absolutely beautiful with the grey Ambassador and the white Taj Mahal shining during the night with magnificent clouds on the road.

Mahindra Thar with tank treads

When we think of the Mahindra Thar, scenes of off-roading immediately come to mind. This is because the Mahindra Thar is a true-blooded off-roader. Now, what is also something that can travel anywhere no matter what the terrain is? If you guessed a military tank, then you are right! Now imagine if you combined these two off-road vehicles into one. What you’ll get is exactly what we have here: a Mahindra Thar truck with some massive tank treads instead of wheels. If this vehicle ever becomes a reality, then we can be sure that it will crawl over any surface on the planet Earth.

Bollywood villains with Ambassador

That was another prompt we asked the AI to execute. And while it could not recreate any of Bollywood’s iconic villains, it produced these couple of images with pretty villainy-looking characters!

The first is more realistic – sort of like a Bollywood scene or poster than the one below, we think.

An AI-generated monster truck in Kerala

We asked the AI to put a monster truck on Kerala’s roads. The AI did a commendable job. It did not understand the term ‘monster truck’ that well – they are a category of big-ass souped up massive trucks that are used in entertainment arenas in the US, belching smoke and crushing cars by jumping on them and sometimes even doing multiple somersaults. Instead, our AI created a massive retro-truck that looks quite monstrous due to its size. Then it placed it on a typical Kerala road, and added a local guy clicking a photo of it for good measure. That was unasked for – but it makes the image better for sure.

The AI generated this alternative image too – and this too looks quite impressive, we think. Here we have a monster truck on a typical monsoon day in Kerala.

In this picture, an old truck covered with moss and grass can be seen with the same gigantic wheels. To make this picture appear more Indian, a village man can be seen barefooted walking towards this mammoth Indian monster truck. The background is just as beautiful, with tall standing coconut trees.

Superheroes and Indian vehicles

These successful results side-tracked us a bit, and we thought what it would look like if we asked the AI to generate superheroes in Indian environments. You can see the results below.

First, we prompted the AI to put Superman in an auto-rickshaw. We assumed the AI would put him in the rear seat, but no – the AI went ahead and made him an autorickshaw driver! He has a stubble – which Superman never sported – and also wears some nice sunglasses.

Just like the Superman in a rickshaw above, the DC comic character Batman has also been imagined on top of a Hindustan Motors Ambassador sedan. In this picture, the Gotham City protector can be seen crouching on a matte black Ambassador. Had Batman originated from India, this would have been the choice of transportation for the superhero. It looks like a Delhi winter scene, and for some reason Batman is wearing a dark business suit on top of his Dark Knight costume!

Last, but not least, in this particular image, Batman has been imagined sitting on the roof of an Ambassador. Here, the proportions are definitely a bit off. Batman is a bit too big for the Ambassador – the roof might cave in! Now, granted, this Ambassador does not look as menacing as the matte black one. This one isn’t supposed to be Batman’s personal ride. Instead, it is a taxi with the Batman logo. We know Batman is a billionaire, but hey, nobody can say no to extra money, right? Maybe he has a taxi fleet in India. With this and all the other images, we can understand one thing for sure, and that is there are endless possibilities with AI.
