All-new 2024 Renault Duster SUV officially revealed: India launch in 2025

The long-awaited next-generation Duster was officially unveiled in Portugal earlier today. Renault’s sister brand Dacia revealed the next-generation Duster, and the SUV will go on sale in international markets next year. Renault has been testing the all-new Duster for a very long time, and the SUV looks similar to the leaked or rendered images that had surfaced online before the launch. The all-new Duster will go on sale in European markets first. Only after the European market launch will other countries receive it.

If you remember, Renault had released a Bigster concept, and the newly revealed Duster looks inspired by that concept. The front fascia of the 2024 Renault Duster looks rugged and reminiscent of other Dacia models sold internationally. The butch-looking exterior design gives it an appealing SUV appearance. The Duster features Y-shaped LED DRLs that meet the garnish on the front grille. The bumper looks muscular, with integrated fog lamps and air vents. Just like the bumper, the muscular design language is visible on the bonnet as well. Coming to the side profile, the SUV has a blacked-out vertical line on the front door just under the ORVMs. The door handles for the rear doors are hidden on the pillar. The roof rails, claddings around the squared-out wheel arches, and swept-back tail lamps all look neat. The design of the alloy wheels on the Duster also looks different from the older generation model. The SUV gets 18-inch alloy wheels in the higher version, while the lower variants would get a 17-inch unit. Compared to the older generation Duster, the new one is longer, measuring 4.34 meters.

Just like the LED DRLs, the tail lamps on the Duster also feature a Y-shaped design. There is black cladding on the lower part of the bumper, and we also see Dacia branding on the tailgate. This is the Dacia Duster’s exterior, and we expect to see minor changes in terms of design when the same SUV is launched in India. According to reports, Renault will be launching the all-new Duster in India in the second half of 2025.

Moving to the interior, the Dacia Duster comes with a layered dashboard design finished in two shades. It features a 7-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, automatic climate control, AC vents with Y-shaped design elements, a flat top and bottom steering wheel with multi-function buttons, and more. The cabin looks different from what we had in the market before. The Duster’s higher variant will also offer features like an electronic parking brake and ADAS features such as AEB, traffic sign recognition, lane change warning assist, and more. Just like the exterior, Renault might remove some of these features when the SUV comes to India.

Regarding the engine, the Dacia Duster is available with three engine options. There is a 1.6-liter hybrid petrol engine that comes with two electric motors and is mated to an automatic transmission. The next engine on offer is a 1.2-liter, three-cylinder petrol engine with a 48V mild hybrid system. This engine generates around 130 PS. This version of the Duster also offers 4×4 as an optional feature. The third engine option is a 1.0-liter petrol engine that would be offered with petrol-LPG/CNG in some markets. Like many manufacturers, Renault has also skipped a diesel engine with the Duster.
