Anurag Dwivedi, a 21-year-old fantasy cricket aficionado from Uttar Pradesh, is a prime example of this trend. His success in online ventures has afforded him the ownership of several luxury cars.
Anurag Dwivedi’s collection includes cars like the Maruti Dzire, Ford Endeavour, Mahindra Thar, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW 7-Series, BMW Z4, and Land Rover Defender 130. Despite his impressive garage now, Anurag started from humble beginnings.

Anurag is one of those persons who came from a very humble background, which is quite evident on his social media profile too. If you visit Anurag’s Instagram profile, you’ll find a photo of him with a bicycle, which he explains is where his journey began.
Anurag initially harbored dreams of becoming a cricket player. However, due to personal circumstances, he couldn’t pursue that path. Instead, he channeled his passion differently and emerged as an expert in fantasy cricket online. In his early days, he rode a standard Atlas bicycle, a common sight on the roads, rather than an expensive model costing lakhs.
Maruti Dzire
This was probably his first car. A photo on his Instagram shows him posing with his Maruti Dzire. The red-colored vehicle is a current-generation pre-facelift model. It seems to be a mid-range variant, as it doesn’t have LED DRLs, projector headlamps, or fog lamps.
BMW 7-Series
In Anurag’s garage, the next car is a BMW 7-Series. It is the F01 or fifth generation of the luxury sedan. The BMW 7-Series is a popular sedan among Indian celebrities. Anurag bought his 7-Series from a pre-owned car dealer, apparently choosing the diesel variant.
Ford Endeavour
Here is a Ford Endeavour that Anurag purchased in 2021. This is the BS6 version with a 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission. The SUV is in black shade and it is likely to be a 4×4 variant.
Mercedes-Benz E-Class
This was Anurag’s fourth car. In 2022, he took delivery of this luxurious sedan, accompanied by his family. The black sedan exudes elegance. It is highly possible that he opted for the 350d variant, featuring a 3.0-liter inline-6 engine producing 286 Ps and 600 Nm of torque. This luxury sedan was priced around Rs 80 lakh, ex-showroom, at launch.
Mahindra Thar
Another one of Anurag’s SUV acquisitions is the Mahindra Thar – a rugged vehicle known for its off road ability. It remains uncertain whether he selected the 4×4 or RWD model. True to form, he chose the SUV in black.
BMW Z4
Anurag owns a new BMW Z4 sports car. It is currently the only sports car in his collection. In a post, he talks about searching nationwide for a red Z4 and finally locating one in Delhi. This Z4 is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged engine producing 335 bhp and 500 Nm of peak torque. The M40i variant of the Z4 is priced at Rs 89.30 lakh, ex-showroom.
Land Rover Defender 130
Anurag’s most recent acquisition is a white Land Rover Defender 130 SUV. Delivered in June last year, this Defender 130 is the 8-seater variant of the 5-door SUV, likely the first of its kind to arrive in Uttar Pradesh. With an ex-showroom price of around Rs 1.41 crore, it’s likely the most expensive vehicle in his garage.
