Australian cricketing great Matthew Hayden delivers Mahindra XUV700 to customer in Chennai [Video]

Mahindra is one of the biggest SUV manufacturers in India. Their Thar, XUV700, Bolero, and Scorpio N are all performing well in the market. These SUVs are so popular that some of them have a waiting period exceeding over a year. Mahindra not only sells these SUVs in India but also in other countries like South Africa and Australia. You may already be aware that the former Australian cricketer, Matthew Hayden, has been associated with the brand for a very long time. Mahindra has now introduced a scheme where customers booking an SUV would get a chance to meet the cricketer.

Mahindra Auto has shared a video related to the same on their Instagram page. In this video, we see Australian cricketer Matthew Hayden arriving at a Mahindra dealership in Chennai. The cricketer is wearing traditional South Indian attire. After arriving at the dealership, he interacts with the customers. Shots showing the same can be seen in the reel. Matthew Hayden is not only seen interacting with customers, but he also delivers a brand-new XUV700 SUV to a customer in the video.

After the delivery, Mahindra also arranged a chance where the customer could join Matthew Hayden for a short drive. In this short reel, Matthew Hayden and the customers are seen in a Mahindra Scorpio N. It appears to be a demo car from the dealership. The video was posted online five days ago, so the offer is probably still valid. It is not clear whether this offer is valid only for customers in South India or across India.

This offer is likely in place because of the ongoing Cricket World Cup that India is hosting. The video that Mahindra has shared online comes with a caption, “Traditional attire, unforgettable experience, drive with an icon, book your favorite Mahindra SUV, and stand a chance to meet Matthew Hayden. Coming soon to a dealership near you.”

As mentioned earlier, Matthew Hayden has been associated with Mahindra for a very long time. He has been the brand ambassador for Mahindra Australia since 2015. He is often seen promoting Mahindra vehicles online. Earlier this year, Hayden visited Mahindra’s SUV Proving Track in Chennai, where he drove the Mahindra XUV700 and Scorpio-N. After driving the SUVs, the cricketer shared his experience on Mahindra Australia’s official YouTube channel.

He has even featured in many video commercials for Mahindra abroad. Mahindra unveiled the Thar.e concept to the world earlier this year. They also unveiled a concept version of the Scorpio N pickup truck. The pickup truck version is unlikely to be launched in India. Mahindra is working on a variety of electric SUVs, and the Thar.e is one of them. One of the upcoming launches from Mahindra is the 5-door version of Thar. Spy pics of the production version of Mahindra Thar have been spotted several times, and the launch is expected to happen sometime next year. The SUV will be offered with both petrol and diesel engine options and will be available in both 2WD and 4×4 configurations.
