Do you remember the Indian barber who owns a Rolls Royce Ghost and Maybach sedan? Well, the same barber has now bought not one, not two, but a total of three Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedans. Ramesh Babu, who started as a humble barber, currently owns more than 200 cars. He rents them out to celebrities via his company – Ramesh Tours and Travels.

The pictures of Ramesh Babu taking delivery of three Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedans have been shared on Instagram. They have been shared by Sundaram Motors from Bengaluru, Karnataka. The dealership has shared the pictures with the caption, “Welcome aboard, Ramesh Tours & Travels, to this thrilling journey.”

The dealership added, “Meet your magnificent new Mercedes-Benz E Class LWB — a symbol of unparalleled luxury and top-tier performance bound to capture attention wherever you venture.” In the pictures, Ramesh Babu was seen being handed over a bouquet by a dealership employee. He was accompanied by his wife and business partners.

As seen in the pictures, Ramesh Babu, the owner of Ramesh Tours and Travels, has taken delivery of three identical E-Class sedans. All three cars feature the same High-Tech Silver Metallic color. The three E-Class LWBs also get the same black leather interior upholstery.

As for the variant chosen by Ramesh Babu, it is the E-Class LWB 220d. This particular model comes equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine. This motor generates a maximum power of 192 bhp and 400 Nm of torque. It gets a 9-speed automatic gearbox and comes in a rear-wheel-drive configuration. The ex-showroom price of the E-Class LWB is Rs 72.8 lakh.

As stated above, the crown jewel of Ramesh Tours and Travels is the Rolls Royce. Ramesh Babu bought this Rolls Royce Ghost Series 1 back in February of 2011. This model is finished in the classy shade of white. At the time, the Ghost Series 1 was priced at Rs 3 crore.

It comes powered by a 6.6-liter V12 petrol engine that has been twin-turbocharged. It produces 562 bhp of max power and a peak torque of 780 Nm. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

In addition to the Rolls Royce and 200 other cars, another notable car in his collection is a Mercedes-Maybach. It is the S600 variant of the Maybach sedan and it was priced at Rs 2.7 crores when it was launched.

This super luxurious sedan comes powered by a massive 6.0-liter V12 engine. This motor produces 530 bhp and 830 Nm of torque. It comes loaded with all the bells and whistles. It includes individual massaging and ventilated seats in front and rear. It also gets a refrigerator for wine bottles, rear infotainment screens, and much more.

Apart from the above-mentioned cars, the collection of Ramesh Tours and Travels includes 200 more cars. It includes the likes of BMW 7-series, Mercedes S Class, E Class, Viano, a BMW 5 Series, a number of Volvo cars, Toyota Camrys, Honda Accords, and a few Honda CR-Vs.

Ramesh Babu, who became a barber after his father’s death, started saving up and bought his first car, a Maruti Omni. He bought this car and gave it out on rent which resulted in him earning a passive income. He had 7 cars back in 2024; he now owns a fleet of more than 200 cars.
