Big Boss OTT Season 2 winner Elvish Yadav recently purchased a Mercedes E53 AMG Cabriolet, and we have been seeing videos of the YouTuber with the car on the internet since then. Last week, Elvish posted another video on his YouTube channel where he was seen driving his E53 Cabriolet against a Lamborghini Huracan sports car. He was seen racing against the Lamborghini on public roads. How did the drag race go? Let’s check the video to find out.
The video has been shared by Elvish Yadav Vlogs on their YouTube channel. In this video, the vlogger is seen driving his Mercedes-Benz E53 AMG to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. The vlogger is accompanied by his friends in a Toyota Hilux and Fortuner. There is another YouTuber in the video who recently bought a Lamborghini Huracan. They are both driving on the expressway in search of a spot to do a drag race.
Both cars are extremely powerful and are tuned for performance. Elvish Yadav wanted to see how his Mercedes AMG would compete against the Italian bull. Both of them stop the car on the side of the road and prepare for the drag race. The vlogger had set the Mercedes in Sport+ mode, and the Huracan was also in the appropriate mode.
The race starts, and the Mercedes E53 is the first to move off the start line. Elvish managed to launch the car perfectly, and the convertible sports coupe managed to take the lead almost immediately. The response of the Lamborghini driver was a bit slow, but within seconds it caught up with the E53 and took the lead. The Lamborghini driver even slowed down in between to give a chance to the E53; however, the Lamborghini still managed to win the first round.
In the second round, they stopped in the left two lanes and started racing. This time, the Lamborghini driver launched the car at the proper time, and both cars were moving next to each other. At around 95 km/h, the Lamborghini started gaining, and it won the race. The Lamborghini Huracan was declared as the winner of the race. This was a result that both parties were already expecting; however, they still wanted to see how it would actually feel in real life.
The Lamborghini Huracan is powered by a 5.2-liter V10 engine that generates 640 PS and 565 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 7-speed Dual-Clutch transmission. The Mercedes-AMG E53 Cabriolet, on the other hand, uses a 3.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine that generates 435 PS and 520 Nm of peak torque. Additionally, it features an integrated starter generator that produces an extra 21 PS and a peak torque of 250 Nm. The Huracan costs around Rs 5 crore, ex-showroom, and the Mercedes seen here is priced at Rs 1.3 crore, ex-showroom.
While it was a fun video to watch, we all noticed that both cars were racing against each other on a public road. Not just the sports cars, but the supporting vehicles were also being careless as they were stopping on the right-most lane/shoulder and also stopping in the middle of the road to get people out. These are all dangerous things to do on a road, especially on expressways. By doing such stunts on a public road, the YouTuber put his own life and the lives of other innocent road users at risk. Ideally, they should have taken the cars to a closed track or circuit to test their capabilities of the driver as well as the vehicle.
