Bigg Boss show contestant Manu Punjabi takes delivery of a brand-new Mahindra XUV700

The popular reality TV star, Manoj Punjabi, also known as Manu Punjabi, recently purchased a brand-new Mahindra XUV700. The actor, well-known for his appearances on the reality show “Bigg Boss,” shared a video of himself taking delivery of the SUV from a showroom in Jaipur, Rajasthan. He expressed his thoughts on the new vehicle in a brief interview with a media outlet.

Manu Punjabi posted the delivery video of his Mahindra XUV700 on his official Instagram page. In the video, the actor uncovered the XUV700, holding a Pyro gun in his left hand, adding excitement by shooting fire. He captioned the video, “Welcoming the new family member #xuv700 #maa. Can you see, Jai Shree Ram, Jai Bhole Baba? @autoworldjaipur #jaipurcity.”

The reality show star from “Bigg Boss,” Manu Punjabi, shared his excitement during the car delivery, saying, “Cars have always been my passion since childhood, and my desire to own more cars never fades. As a child, I used to play with old cars, promising my mother that I’d buy new ones once I started earning. My first car was red, and it still retains its shine. This time, I chose a blueish-black shade for my new car. I feel proud and miss my mother during this celebration.”

In a previous interview dating back to 2021, the reality TV star turned actor mentioned, “Since childhood, I dreamed of owning a branded car, understanding the substantial cost it entails. So, I waited for the right time. Acquiring the car was a smooth process without any financial burden. I would never buy a car solely for display; I ensured I was financially stable to fulfill my dream.”

The car Manu Punjabi acquired is the Mahindra XUV700. Although the exact variant isn’t evident from the video, it’s likely the AX7 L, the top-of-the-line option for this SUV. The actor chose the Midnight Black color, which has a deep shade of blue in reality.

Manu Punjabi’s decision to purchase the Mahindra XUV700 is a good one, given its status as one of the most popular and technologically advanced SUVs available in the Indian market. Competing with the Tata Safari, this SUV has garnered immense demand since its launch, maintaining a substantial waiting list despite its years in the market. The model offers a choice between a diesel engine and a petrol engine.

The diesel engine is a 2.2-liter mHawk unit, while the petrol engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged unit with direct injection, belonging to the mStallion engine family. The petrol engine under the XUV700’s hood delivers a maximum power of 200 PS and a peak torque of 380 Nm. This engine can be mated to either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

Additionally, the diesel engine is available in two power variants. In the MX Trim, it generates 155 PS of power and 360 Nm of peak torque, exclusively paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. In the higher-end AX Trim, the power output is 185 PS, and the torque output is 420 Nm with the 6-speed manual gearbox and 450 Nm with the 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

The Mahindra XUV700 is equipped with an all-wheel-drive system, available only on the top-end AX7 variant. This system is exclusively paired with the diesel engine and automatic transmission. It’s important to note that this AWD system isn’t a full-fledged 4×4 system like the one Mahindra offers on the Thar. Additionally, the XUV700 is equipped with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), including features such as Autonomous Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic Sign Recognition, Lane Keep Assist, Auto Headlamp Assist, and Traffic Sign Recognition.
