Mahindra 3XO-Based XUV400 EV Facelift: What It Could Look Like

Mahindra recently launched the heavily revised facelifted version of their sub-4 meter SUV XUV300. Mahindra renamed the XUV300 as XUV3XO, and the revised version has been doing pretty well in terms of numbers. Mahindra sold over 10,000 units of XUV3XO in just one month after the launch. We know that Mahindra also has an electric version of this SUV in the market. It is currently known as XUV400 and is based on the pre-facelift version. However, here we have a video that shows how the XUV400 facelift might look if it was based on the recently launched XUV3XO.

The video has been shared by SRK Designs on their YouTube channel. In this video, we see a digitally rendered version of Mahindra XUV400 or XUV4XO, if Mahindra would like to call it that way. When compared to the current version, the SUV looks different and is a lot more premium too.

The video only shows the front of the SUV. The first noticeable change here is the grille. The front grille has been changed. It now gets an XUV3XO-like gloss black grille with the Mahindra logo in the center. The grille extends to meet the new 3XO-style headlamp cluster. It clearly has LED projector headlamps and so on.

We see bronze elements on the lower part of the front grille. We see drop-down LED DRLs on the front. The design of the LED DRL is different, and it goes all the way to the lower part of the bumper. On the bumper, we see a small black garnish which wraps around the LED fog lamps.

Just like any EV, the front grille is closed, and the lower air dam is open. The lower part of the bumper also looks slightly different from the 3XO. On this rendered version, the XUV4XO is riding on wide wheels, and because of the minor tweaks, the electric SUV is looking bigger than the actual XUV400.

Mahindra XUV400 EV Facelift Render

It should be noted that this is just a render, and Mahindra has not mentioned any plans to launch an updated XUV400. It was only this year that Mahindra launched the updated XUV400 in the market as XUV400 Pro.

Mahindra offers XUV400 in 3 variants with the Pro range. The XUV400 Pro is now available in EC Pro and two EL Pro variants. The battery pack and the features differentiate each variant from the others.

The EC variant of the XUV400 gets a 34.5 kWh battery pack. The mid-spec EL Pro variant is also powered by a 34.5 kWh battery pack. The 34.5 kWh battery pack version offers a claimed driving range of 375 km. The top-end EL Pro variant gets a 39.4 kWh battery pack, which offers a driving range of 456 km.

Mahindra is currently working on a variety of electric vehicles. Mahindra will introduce three new pure electric utility vehicles: BE.05, BE.07, and many more EVs under the BE (Born Electric) brand.

These vehicles use the INGLO skateboard platform, which is designed to accommodate battery packs and various body types. Some of these upcoming electric SUVs have been spotted testing on our roads several times.
