2024 Nissan X-Trail SUV: New Teaser Released Before Official India Launch

Nissan India is planning to expand its lineup in India with the launch of the all-new X-Trail premium SUV. The manufacturer showcased the upcoming X-Trail at an event back in 2022 and hinted that the SUV would come to the Indian market. The manufacturer even released a couple of teaser videos and images, giving us a glimpse of the upcoming SUV. Nissan India has now shared a new teaser video that confirms the arrival of the X-Trail in the Indian market.

In the new teaser video shared online, we get a glimpse of the upcoming SUV. We see the machine-cut alloy wheels, front grille, headlamps, LED DRLs, and tail lamps. From the teaser video, it looks like Nissan will be launching the same version of the SUV that is already on sale internationally.

The fourth-generation X-Trail on sale internationally features a sleek-looking LED DRL with turn indicators next to it. The headlamps are placed on the bumper, and we see the V-Motion front grille with the Nissan logo in the center. The SUV looks premium and bold from the front. The Indian version of the X-Trail might get a slightly revised front grille.

We can expect decent use of chrome on several parts, including the front grille of the SUV. The X-Trail is offered in both 5- and 7-seat configurations internationally. However, in India, we are likely to get the 7-seater version only.

The Nissan X-Trail SUV comes with other exterior features like a faux skid plate on the lower part of the bumper, cladding around the wheel arches and lower part of the door, roof rails, a roof-mounted spoiler, rear windscreen wiper and defogger, shark fin antenna, and so on.

Nissan X-Trail teaser

When launched, the Nissan X-Trail will be the flagship model from the Japanese car manufacturer. The SUV is expected to come with a large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system floating in the center of the dashboard.

The SUV will also come with features like a 12.3-inch full digital instrument cluster, HUD, panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charger, paddle shifters, premium sound system from Bose, auto-hold function, electronic parking brake, ADAS, and so on.

The seats are expected to get leatherette upholstery, and the driver and co-driver seats are expected to have electrical adjustments. It should be noted that the Nissan X-Trail will be sold as a CBU, meaning it is not going to be a cheap SUV by any means. Whether Nissan can price it competitively or not is something we all have to wait and see.

Regarding the engine, Nissan is likely to offer the X-Trail with a 1.5-liter turbo petrol strong hybrid engine. As we know, Nissan has also stopped offering diesel engine options with any of their models.

The 1.5-liter strong hybrid engine in the Nissan X-Trail generates 201 PS and 305 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a CVT gearbox. The Nissan X-Trail is offered in both 2WD and AWD versions. Whether we will get the AWD version is something we have to wait and see. The AWD version would only increase the price of this premium SUV even further. The SUV is expected to get launched in the market in coming months.
