Mahindra Scorpio-N Base To Top Trim Conversion On A Budget [Video]

The base Z2 variant of the Scorpio N costs just Rs. 13.85 lakhs ex-showroom. As the starting price of this massive SUV is quiet less, buying a base model and then loading it with the essentials makes a lot of sense and saves a significant amount of money. Today, we will cover a Scorpio N base to top conversion under a budget.

The SUV is modified and showcased in a YouTube video uploaded by Vig Auto Accessories. We have covered multiple modification videos from them including cars such as the Seltos, Creta, Carens along with the Scorpio N. The YouTuber has titled this modification as Super Mafia Budget Edition. Now, let’s talk about what has been added in the car.

At the front, the reflector based halogen headlights have been replaced with the LED projector headlights from the top variant. Additionally, OEM fog lights with DRLs are also installed. The front grille has been replaced with top model’s grille which is finished in glossy black with chrome elements. The host mentions that they have added silver skid plates on the front, rear and the sides of the SUV.

Multiple things have been added to the side profile of the car as well. This includes waistline chrome, C pillar chrome, rain visors with chrome elements, roof rails and foot steps. The car has been fitted with 18-inch Mahindra genuine alloy wheels which enhance its overall look. This modification is not all about aesthetic, multiple functional mods are also done to the SUV.

The ORVMs have been replaced to include the electric adjustment and folding functionality. The ORVMs and the door handles of the Z2 trim of Scorpio N come unpainted. The host mentions that instead of painting them, they have replaced these parts.

Mahindra does not offer rear spoiler in the Z2 variant of the Scorpio N which has been installed. Functional mods in the rear include the reverse parking camera. The rear chrome garnish from the top model is also added.

Talking about the cabin, the host mentions that as this is a budget modification, the doors and the dashboard of this Scorpio N are not wrapped in leather. However, all the required modifications have been done to the interior. The additions in the interior include leather seat cover, 7D mats, gloss black interior styling kit and the ambient lighting.

The steering wheel of this car has been changed with the steering wheel from the top Z8L variant. This steering wheel features leather wrapping, glossy black elements along with satin finish. Additionally, it also includes multimedia controls and buttons for cruise control. However, it is unclear if the cruise control is functional or not.

The audio setup has also been upgraded. The stock touch screen has been replaced with an aftermarket unit which delivers output through Sony speakers.

Towards the end of the video, the host shows a Z2 Scorpio N which has been fitted with 17-inch Mahindra genuine alloy wheels instead of the 18-inch. He highlights how 18-inch wheels suit the Scorpio N more as compared to the 17-inchers.
