Mahindra Scorpio-N Z8 Select, Z8 And Z8 L Updated With New Features

Mahindra Scorpio N has been an extremely successful product for the Indian SUV manufacturer. It was launched in the market a few years ago and has been doing well in terms of numbers too. However, when compared to other SUVs in this price range, the Scorpio N did miss out on a few features. It looks like Mahindra has silently updated the higher variants of the Scorpio N and is now offering more features than before.

Auto-dimming IRVM

The Z8 and Z8 L top-end variants of the Scorpio N SUV now come with a wireless phone charging pad with a cooling function. Phones that support wireless charging often tend to heat up, and with this cooling function, the phone heating issue is expected to be resolved to some extent. This feature is available in the Z8 Select, Z8, and Z8 L variants. The color of the center console of the Scorpio N is also offered in a gloss-black finish.

The other major change or feature update in the Scorpio N is the ventilated seats. The top-end Z8 L variant of the SUV now offers features like frameless auto-dimming IRVMs and ventilated seats. This feature is becoming common among SUVs and cars in India, and after the XUV700, the Scorpio N also offers this feature.

Ventilated seats

Ventilated seats are extremely useful during Indian summers, and we are thankful that Mahindra has finally decided to offer this feature with this SUV. At the moment, there is no official statement from Mahindra about the price change. However, the variants that got the feature updates are expected to see a price hike of Rs 17,000 to Rs 20,000.

Mahindra Scorpio N

The Mahindra Scorpio N was officially launched in the market in 2022. This is an all-new SUV and the successor to the popular Scorpio, which was and is still very popular in our market. Mahindra has not discontinued the last generation Scorpio and has renamed it the Scorpio Classic. It is the more affordable and rugged-looking SUV, while the Scorpio N has a modern and premium look.

The SUV comes with black and brown dual-tone interiors, automatic climate control, an electric sunroof, a large touchscreen infotainment system, a premium sound system from Sony, and more. The Mahindra Scorpio N is available in the Indian market as well as exported to Australia and South Africa.

Scorpio N features updated

The SUV is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The Mahindra Scorpio N’s petrol version uses a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder turbocharged engine that generates 200 Bhp and 370 Nm of peak torque. The petrol engine is available with both manual and automatic transmissions.

Regarding the diesel variant, the SUV is powered by a 2.2-liter mHawk turbo engine that generates 130 Bhp and 300 Nm of torque in the lower variants and 172 Bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque in the higher variants. The diesel variant of the Scorpio N is available with both manual and automatic transmissions.

The 4×4 feature is only available with the diesel variant (select variants). The price for the Mahindra Scorpio N starts at Rs 13.85 lakh, ex-showroom, and goes up to Rs 24.54 lakh, ex-showroom. Mahindra has also updated the recently launched XUV 3OO SUV. The MX1 variant of the SUV now gets type C USB charging ports.
