We have covered multiple base to top conversions of popular cars such as the Kia Carens, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and the Mahindra Scorpio N. Today, we will show an Ertiga which is converted from base to top with some aftermarket touches. The unique thing about this project is that this is the first time in India someone has converted an Ertiga from base LXi variant to the top end trim.

The project is carried out and showcased by VIG Auto Accessories on their own YouTube channel. The host claims this to be the first Ertiga which has been converted from base to top. Now let’s start with the details.

The host starts with the front fascia of the car. The headlights have been replaced to aftermarket units with crystal DRLs. These headlights are blacked out from the inside which gives the MUV a stealth look. The grille has been replaced to a glossy black grille with chrome elements. Am aftermarket bodykit has been installed in the front, back and both the sides of the car.

The host adds that this kit is imported from Indonesia and features three colors – white, black and satin. The body kit gives the car a sporty and aggressive look. After this, the before look of the car is shown which is a stock LXI trim Ertiga. Changes in the side profile include the parts of the body kit and the ORVMs with electric adjustment and folding functionality.

The steel rims have been replaced with 16-inch aftermarket alloy wheels. Additionally, waistline chrome, C pillar chrome, chrome door handles, glossy black fender vent and Ertiga Sports graphics are also installed.

The rear bumper is replaced with the body kit bumper, adding a whole new character to the back profile. A sporty spoiler is also installed which is a part of the body kit. Functional upgrade in the rear includes the addition of the reverse parking camera and LED reflectors.

The taillights have been replaced with aftermarket units which come in a set of seven pieces. This set includes two pieces which are attached on the C pillar, one connecting light and four pieces of the actual taillights. Similar to the front, the taillights are also smoked out.
The cabin of the car is completely transformed.

The doors and the dashboard are leather wrapped in tan. The seat covers and the 7D mats also follow the same theme of tan and white. Additional loadings in the interior include carbon fiber interior styling kit, shadow ambient lighting on all four doors, chrome door handles, leather wrapped A, B and C pillars, black roof liner with soft touch feel, steering mounted multimedia controls, front armrest, central looking, infotainment system with wireless connectivity and much more.

A key highlight of the interior is the aftermarket muscular steering wheel which is shaped like a hexagon. This steering wheel offers a combination of carbon fiber and leather wrapping, adding to the premium-ness of the vehicle.
