Minnal Murali Actor Tovino Thomas Buys BMW XM Luxury SUV Worth Rs 2.60 Crore

Minnal Murali, a Malayalam movie about an Indian superhero, was well received by audiences and viewers across all states. Tovino Thomas, who played the lead role, gained significant fame after this film. Like many actors in the industry, Tovino Thomas has a collection of expensive cars and bikes. He recently took delivery of his brand new BMW XM luxury SUV, becoming the first actor from the Malayalam film industry to purchase this vehicle. The SUV is worth Rs 2.60 crore, ex-showroom.

Images of the actor receiving his new BMW XM have been shared by DQ Car Collection 369 on their Instagram page. In the post, we see the actor taking delivery of his new SUV with his family. The pictures show Tovino standing next to the car and inside the cabin, along with clear images of the BMW XM.

Tovino has several BMW cars in his garage, and the XM is the latest addition. The BMW XM is currently the flagship BMW SUV in the market and is the first-ever M model from BMW to feature a plug-in hybrid powertrain. The XM is the second standalone product under the M brand after the M1.

The XM features the typical BMW kidney grille, which, like most modern BMW cars, is illuminated. The front bumper looks sharp and edgy, giving it an extremely sporty appearance. The large air intake at the front also contributes to this look. The car comes with 22-inch M wheels, with an option for customers to upgrade to 23-inch units. The wheel design is exclusive to the XM.

The SUV has an iX-inspired design, L-shaped all-LED tail lamps, and vertically stacked exhaust tips at the rear with black inserts, giving it a very aggressive look. Like any luxury car or SUV, the BMW XM has a very premium-looking, feature-loaded cabin.

It includes a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dedicated red-colored M mode buttons, ambient lighting, four-zone climate control, a premium sound system, ADAS, and more.

The BMW XM is powered by a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged petrol engine, which, along with the electric motor, generates around 653 PS and 800 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, and the SUV has a range of 88 km in EV mode. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds and can be used in both 2WD and 4WD modes.

The main attraction of this SUV is its fuel economy. As a plug-in hybrid SUV, it offers extraordinary fuel economy. The BMW XM has a claimed fuel economy of around 62 km/l.

Besides the newly added BMW XM, Tovino owns cars like the BMW 7-series, an Audi Q7 SUV, a Mini Cooper Sidewalk Edition, an older generation Honda City, and a Range Rover Sport.

Tovino Thomas’ Other Cars

Tovino has an impressive car collection that includes a BMW 7-series, an Audi Q7 SUV, a Mini Cooper Sidewalk Edition, and an older Honda City. The BMW 7-Series was the most expensive car in his garage, a 730Ld M Sport version he bought in 2019. It is powered by a 3.0 litre diesel engine producing 265 Ps and 620 Nm of torque, with an ex-showroom price of around Rs 1.35 crore.

The Honda City was Tovino’s first car, a 4th generation sedan in maroon he bought in 2014. He used it extensively to transport essential supplies during the Kerala floods.

In addition to the luxury cars, Tovino also owns a BMW G 310 GS adventure motorcycle, powered by a 313-cc single cylinder engine generating 34 Bhp and 28 Nm of torque. He also owns an older generation Royal Enfield Bullet.

He was the first to take delivery of India’s 2023 Range Rover Sport SUV. Additionally, he owns a vanity van built on a Bharat Benz 1017 BS6 chassis. The vanity van was made Kerala’s renowned caravan-maker Ojes Motors. It is finished in a sleek piano black color and features the “T” emblem, representing Tovino.
