Toyota Innova HyCross GX 2.0 Petrol In A Walkaround Video

Toyota recently introduced a new petrol only variant in the Innova HyCross lineup. This new trim named GX optional sits above the base GX trim. Today, with the help of a YouTube video uploaded by The Car Show, we will learn what this new trim offers.

The host starts with the front profile of the car which features a massive matte black grille. In the higher variants, this grille is finished in chrome. The headlamps are reflector based LED units. LED fog lamps are also offered in this variant but DRLs are missing. Additionally, a front parking camera along with sensors can be seen, both of which are a part of the 360 degree camera setup offered in this trim.

The MUV rides on 16-inch silver alloy wheels which are covered in Bridgestone rubber. Black cladding continues all around the car except on the fenders. The ORVMs feature LED indicators and a camera for the 360 degree camera setup.

Additionally, they can be electrically adjusted and folded. Surprisingly, keyless entry along with push button start is also offered in this trim. Features such as roof rails and panoramic sunroof are not available here.

All the necessary features such as reverse wiper with washer, defogger, reverse parking camera with sensors, high mounted stop lamp, shark fin antenna and LED tail lamps are offered here. Overall, the MUV looks massive.

The cabin of the car features a dual tone theme of black and brown. The door pads and dashboard are leather wrapped to add to the premium-ness. Overall, the cabin of the GX optional trim looks much better than the base GX trim as it features multiple chrome and glossy black elements.

Key features here include steering mounted controls, electronic handbrake, height adjustable driver seat, analog instrument cluster with colored multi information display, auto headlamps, cup holders indicated in the dashboard, tilt and telescopic adjustment of steering wheel, 9-inch infotainment system with wireless connectivity, auto AC, drive modes and much more.

The host shows us the 360 degree camera and mentions that the quality is average. Toyota has fully loaded this trim but they have missed out on an essential feature which is the cruise control. Ample storage spaces are offered throughout the cabin.

Amenities in the rear seats include integrated sunshades, AC vents and charging sockets. The popular Ottoman seats of the HyCross are offered in higher trims only.

The pure petrol Innova HyCross is powered by a 2.0-litre engine. This engine produces about 174 HP and 204 Nm of torque. This engine is exclusively mated to a CVT transmission. The car is also offered with a hybrid powertrain which is more powerful and fuel efficient.

The pricing for the Innova HyCross starts at Rs. 19.77 lakh for the base GX trim and it goes up to Rs. 30.98 lakh for the top end ZX optional trim. The GX optional variant is priced at Rs. 20.99 lakh for the eight seater version and Rs. 21.13 lakh for the seven seater version.
