Although electric vehicles are gaining popularity in India, EV bikes, in particular, are not very common among Indian two-wheeler buyers because of their inability to provide the required range and performance. But things are now changing, and more EV bike manufacturing startups are creating bikes designed for Indian buying preferences. Recently, proving a lot of EV doubters wrong about the capabilities of an EV motorcycle, a video has been shared online which shows an interview between a YouTuber and an owner of an Ultraviolette F77 EV bike. This interview was done to ask about how he managed to travel from Chennai to Leh on his Ultraviolette F77 bike, covering a distance of 7000 km, and all for just Rs 400.

The video interview of the record holder, Ultraviolette F77 EV bike owner, has been shared on YouTube by Bike With Girl on their channel. It starts off with an introduction where the presenter mentions that this particular owner has managed to cover a cross-country trip on his Ultraviolette F77 EV bike. She elaborates that the owner was able to travel from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, to Leh district and then return from Leh to Bangalore, Karnataka, a distance of 7000 km for just Rs 400. Soon after the brief overview, she introduces the owner, Bala, of this bike.

Following the introduction of the owner, the presenter immediately asks him the first question after taking a seat, which is how many days he was on this cross-country trip. To this, the owner replies that the total trip duration was 22 days and 7 hours. After this, he mentions that he works in a college. Next, the presenter mentions that Bala is currently the record holder for the longest distance traveled on an EV motorcycle. Bala elaborates that he has two records, one from the India Book of Records and the other from the Asia Book of Records.

Next, the presenter starts showing the map of the route and asks about the chargers on the route available to the biker. To this, he mentions that he did not even look at the map before commencing his journey for charging points. He stated that he just took his original company-provided charger with an adaptor and used points from hotels and other places on the way to charge his motorcycle. He stated that a lot of people on the route were startled by knowing that he is doing this trip on an Ultraviolette F77 EV bike.

After this, the presenter comes to the main question of the interview. She asks that doing this 7000 km trip for just Rs 400 seems impossible and how true is it that it took only this amount to completely cover this distance. To this, the owner of the Ultraviolette F77 replies that in his entire trip, he only used two commercial charging points for which he paid Rs 200 for each point, and the rest of the entire charging for the bike on this trip was done in homes of people. He then stated that people across the country were very welcoming, and he had to never face any issues.
