With all kind of manufacturers from mass-segment manufacturers like Tata and Hyundai to high-end car makers like Mercedes-Benz and Audi, almost of all the manufacturers offer an electric car model in India. Well, here are popular Indians who own an electric car.
Mukesh Ambani
Tesla Model S 100D & Model X 100D
The Ambanis own one of the largest car collections in India. The billionaire privately imported the Tesla cars to India. The country’s richest man imported a blue-coloured Tesla Model S 100D in India, which is one of the high-performance variants of the all-electric sedan. This version of the Model S gets a 100kWh battery and an electric motor setup, which generates 483 bhp of power and 660 Nm of torque. The Model S 100D claims a 504 km range and 250 kmph top speed.

Another Tesla offering present in the ‘Jio Garage’ owned by Mukesh Ambani is the Model X. Like the Model S he owns, the Model X of Mukesh Ambani is also in the high-performance 100D variant. With a powerful battery and motor setup, the Model X 100D owned by Ambani should be the most powerful electric SUV currently in India.

BMW iX
The Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways of India, Nitin Gadkari has got the iX electric SUV. We are not sure if the car belongs to the road minister or BMW has given it to the road minister. BMW launched it in India a year and it gets a price tag of Rs 1.16 crore. The electric SUV comes to the country as a CBU and gets a range of 425 km.
Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh

Riteish Deshmukh already owns a Tesla in the USA. The couple recently bought their first electric car in India. They were spotted in the BMW iX xDrive 40, which is the only variant available in India produces a maximum power of 326 PS and peak torque of 630 Nm. It is a quick SUV too. It can do 0-100 km/h in just 6.1 seconds and can reach a top speed of 200 km/h.
Pooja Batra
Tesla Model 3
Another famous personality from Bollywood, Pooja Batra owns a Tesla Model 3, which is currently the most affordable offering from Tesla’s global lineup. Pooja owns a black-coloured Tesla Model 3 in the US, where she has a secondary home apart from her base in Mumbai.

Kia EV6
The ace cricketer, who has several accolades in his name, has a desirable automobile collection comprising modern and vintage classics. Dhoni recently bought the Kia EV6 and was spotted with his former teammates in the car. The Kia EV6 arrived in India in two different variants with a starting price of Rs 59.95 lakh. The base variant of the EV6 comes with a two-wheel-drive configuration with a front-mounted single motor, which claims 229 bhp of maximum power and 350 Nm of maximum torque.

Audi e-Tron and e-Tron GT
In a couple videos, Virat Kohli can be seen chauffeured in a blue-coloured Audi e-Tron electric SUV and red-coloured Audi e-Tron GT four-door electric coupe. After digging in further details, we have come to know that both these cars are registered in the name of Skoda Audi Volkswagen India Pvt Ltd, which happens to be the parent company of Audi India. Given Kohli’s long association as Audi India’s brand ambassador, both these cars seem to have been rewarded to him.
The blue-coloured Audi e-Tron SUV in which Kohli is seen is the range-topping e-Tron 55 variant, which gets an all-wheel-drive layout with a combination of two electric motors. Likewise, the red-coloured Audi e-Tron GT here is also the range-topping variant, the e-Tron GT RS.
