5 features missing in the new Mahindra XUV700 SUV

Mahindra XUV700 has created a massive interest in the Indian market, especially with its starting price tag of only Rs 11.99 lakh, ex-showroom. Mahindra is yet to announce the price of all the variants of the XUV700 but they have revealed the model and it gets a long list of features. The XUV700 gets a long list of segment-first features that we have mentioned in an article here. Well, the vehicle is missing out on a few features as well. While Mahindra is yet to announce the official accessories list, we are likely to get some of these missing features as genuine accessories from the showrooms.

Auto-dimming IRVM

Mahindra does not offer an auto-dimming mirror with the XUV700. There is a manual lever that you need to use to change the setting of the interior rearview mirror of the Mahindra XUV700. Most other vehicles in the segment already offer this convenience feature. The auto-dim mirror allows for better visibility at night, especially in India where most drivers use high beams.

Cooled/Ventilated seats

Mahindra has added perforated leatherette seats to the XUV700. However, it does not gets cooled or ventilated function. While the hot and humid summers in India makes you need the ventilated seats, especially in the cars with leather or leatherette seats as they heat up quickly.

Adjustable second row

Mahindra will offer the XUV700 with both five and seven-seat options. However, the seven-seater variant does not get a sliding option to create more space for third-row passengers. The row is fixed so it becomes difficult to create more space for the third-row passengers. No genuine accessories will be available to fix this.

Front parking sensors

There are no front parking sensors in the Mahindra XUV700. Even though Mahindra offers the state-of-the-art Advanced Driver Assistance System with the XUV700, there are no front parking sensors. You do get a 360-degree camera with multiple views though. Mahindra may offer the front parking sensors in the future through genuine accessories.

Puddle Lamps

The XUV700 does not offer puddle lamps too. While it is not an important feature in a car but puddle lamps make the vehicle look and feel much more premium and also shows the surroundings when getting in or out of the vehicle. Since there is still ample space around the ORVM, we may get to see puddle lamps as genuine accessories in the future.
