Honda Elevate And City Get Safety Boost: 6 Airbags Now Standard On All Variants

The manufacturer has now taken a new step towards reinforcing safety by updating the safety features in the entire lineup in India. These enhancements align with the company’s global vision of ensuring zero traffic collision fatalities involving Honda automobiles globally by 2050.

Honda’s popular models like Elevate and the Honda City will now come with six airbags, 3-point Emergency Locking Retractor (ELR) seatbelts, and seatbelt reminders for all five seats as standard offerings across all grades. These models will also have several other feature additions that will enhance the overall customer experience.

Honda City’s strong hybrid version e:HEV already comes with six airbags. Honda will additionally offer seatbelt reminders for all five occupants. Honda’s entry-level sedan Amaze, which competes with the likes of Maruti Dzire and Tata Tigor, will feature enhanced safety with seatbelt reminders for all five occupants.

Honda Elevate

The latest offering from Honda in India has turned out to be a huge success for the Japanese car manufacturer. It has been doing decent numbers in terms of sales every month. With the new safety package, Honda is offering six airbags as standard application across all grades (newly introduced in SV, V, and VX). Three-point emergency locking retractor seatbelts along with adjustable head restraints for all five seats standard across grades (newly introduced rear center three-point seatbelt & head restraint in all grades).

Honda Elevate gets 6 airbags as standard

Seat Belt Reminder for all five seats standard across grades (newly introduced rear seatbelt reminder in all grades). Driver & Assistant Sunvisor Vanity Mirror with Lid standard across grades (newly introduced in SV, V, VX). Digital Analog Integrated Meter with 17.7cm (7inch) HD Full-Color TFT MID standard across grades (newly introduced in SV, V).

Enhancement of Front AC Vents Knob & Fan/Temperature Control Knob with Silver Paint in V, VX, and ZX. Price for Honda Elevate starts at Rs 11.91 lakh, ex-showroom, and goes up to Rs 16.43 lakh, ex-showroom.

Honda City

City has been the breadwinner for Honda for years in the Indian market. The fifth-generation model of the premium sedan gets six airbags as standard application across grades (newly introduced in SV and V). Seat Belt Reminder for all five seats standard across grades (newly introduced rear seatbelt reminder in all grades).

10.6 cm (4.2-inch) Color TFT Meter Display newly introduced in SV grade. Eight-speaker premium surround sound system newly introduced in VX variant. Rear Sunshade newly introduced in VX variant. Price for Honda City starts at Rs 12.08 lakh, ex-showroom, and goes up to Rs 20.55 lakh, ex-showroom. The Honda City strong hybrid and the Honda Amaze sedan get a seat belt reminder for all five seats as standard.
