Honda Elevate VX variant in-depth walkaround [Video]

After waiting on the sidelines for a long time, the Japanese automotive giant Honda Cars India has finally unveiled its mid-size SUV, the Elevate, in India. The company will be launching this SUV on the 4th of September, and recently, all the variants of the Honda Elevate have started arriving at dealership lots. Recently, a video of the Honda Elevate’s second top variant, VX, was shared online. The video shows an in-depth walkaround of the Honda Elevate mid-size SUV.

The video of the Honda Elevate mid-size SUV’s second top VX variant has been shared on YouTube by The Car Show on their channel. It starts off with the presenter mentioning that the Honda Elevate will be offered in SV, V, VX, and ZX variants in the country. He then adds that the cars have started arriving at the dealerships, and the videos of the base SV and second-to-base V variants will be shared in the coming period. The presenter adds that the car will be officially launched on the 4th of September; the pricing will be unveiled on the same day.

Following this introduction, the first thing that the presenter does is open the bonnet of the Honda Elevate VX variant, finished in Silver color. He then states that the Honda Elevate is only offered with a single 1.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine option. This engine generates a maximum of 125 bhp of power and 145 Nm of torque. He then adds that currently, there are no other engine options like a turbo or hybrid on offer by Honda. However, he adds that this is a powerful enough engine and offers great fuel efficiency.

Moving on, the presenter then closes the bonnet of the car and starts off with the exterior design of the vehicle at the front. He mentions that the car gets the same front-end design as the top-spec ZX variant. However, the only differences at the front are the matte black inserts on the grille. These inserts are gloss black on the ZX variant. Next up, he adds that the VX variant also misses out on the ADAS features and does not get any cameras for the Honda Sensing System.

He then shows the side profile of the car and mentions that here as well, it looks pretty much identical to the ZX variant. The only major difference is that the door cladding on this variant comes in matte black, whereas on the ZX variant, it comes in body color. The presenter also shows the camera on the side mirror on the left and mentions that it also gets the same sunroof as the ZX variant on the roof. It also gets the roof rails, as well, adds the presenter.

Next up, he shows the rear end of the vehicle and states that from the rear, it looks exactly the same as the ZX variant. It gets Elevate badging on the left and I-VTEC badging on the right. Additionally, it also gets four rear parking sensors and a rear-view camera. Lastly, he shows the rear window wiper and defogger as well.

The presenter then takes a seat inside the Honda Elevate VX variant and starts mentioning the differences between the two top-spec variants. He starts off by mentioning that the VX does not get the leather upholstery on the interior; instead, it gets fabric upholstery. He mentions that the dashboard and the door panels also do not have the leatherette and instead get hard plastics. He then shows the steering wheel of the SUV and adds that the controls for ADAS are also missing. Next up, he mentions that it gets a smaller touchscreen infotainment screen in the center. He adds that the rest of the interior layout is the same as the top-spec ZX variant.
