Hyundai Motor India is all set to roll out the revamped version of its best-selling mid-size SUV, the Creta, in the first quarter of 2024. This marks the first major overhaul for the second-generation model since its debut back in March 2020. The Creta has been a reigning champion in the Indian automobile market, consistently outperforming rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, and Volkswagen Taigun.
Since its introduction in July 2015, Hyundai has managed to sell nearly 950,000 units of the Creta in India, making it an absolute favorite among consumers. The 2024 model is anticipated to come with a slew of updates, all aimed at enhancing its appeal.
Spy shots reveal a strikingly redesigned front end, boasting a new grille inspired by the Hyundai Tucson, along with updated LED headlamps and a revamped bumper. The vehicle’s alloy wheels have also undergone a stylish makeover, while the rear end now showcases fresh LED taillamps and a reimagined bumper.

The interior of the 2024 Creta is in for a major transformation, featuring updates to the steering wheel, instrument cluster, infotainment system, and automatic climate control. Notably, the new SUV will come equipped with an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), promising enhanced safety and convenience for drivers.
Beneath the hood, the Creta facelift is expected to offer the same engine options as the Kia Seltos. These include a 1.5-liter Turbo-GDi petrol engine churning out 160PS/253Nm, a 1.5-liter NA petrol engine delivering 115PS/144Nm, and a 1.5-liter CRDi VGT diesel engine generating 116PS/250Nm. In terms of transmission, we can anticipate options like a 6-speed manual transmission, 6-speed intelligent manual transmission, intelligent variable transmission, 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, and 6-speed automatic transmission.
The current model is priced between Rs 10.87 lakh and Rs 19.20 lakh (ex-showroom), and it’s likely that the 2024 Creta will command a higher price tag, thanks to the extensive updates it’s set to feature. So, for all the Creta fans out there, the revamped version is right around the corner, with a fresh look, enhanced features, and advanced safety systems to look forward to.
The Creta has been a top-selling compact SUV, beating rivals such as the Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota HyRyder Volkswagen Taigun and the Skoda Kushaq quite comprehensively. The updated model is expected to build upon the Creta’s sales success, in the face of increasing competition from the likes of Honda, with the Elevate, and Citroen, with the C3 AirCross.
