Hyundai i20 Facelift: New Amazon Grey color in a walkaround video

The month of September has proved itself to be an exciting one, and the primary reason for this is that a ton of new cars have been launched so far. One of the most highly anticipated models, which has been launched recently is the all-new Hyundai i20 facelift. Hyundai India has introduced the facelift of this popular premium hatchback in the country at a starting price of Rs 6.99 lakh. The car is being offered with a decent amount of changes on the outside and inside. One of the newest and biggest highlights is the addition of a new Amazon Grey color. Recently a video walkaround of this new color and car has been shared online. 

The in-depth video walkaround of the brand new Hyundai i20 facelift has been shared on YouTube by The Car Show on their channel. It starts off with the presenter of the video introducing the car in front of him and talks about the pricing and variants offered. He starts by stating that the new 2023 i20 facelift will come in 5 variants, namely: Era, Magna, Sportz, Asta, and Asta (O). The pricing of the i20 starts at Rs 6.99 lakh for the Era variant, and it goes up to Rs 11.01 lakh for the Asta (O) variant.

After this, he adds that the car in front of him is the Asta (O) variant. This variant comes equipped with either a 6-speed manual transmission or an IVT transmission. This one, particularly, is fitted with the IVT gearbox. Following this, he talks about the newly introduced Amazon Grey color, which is a new addition to the model. This color is different from the darker Titan Grey, which is also offered with the new i20 facelift.

Apart from these two colors, the car is also offered in four more single-tone paint options, which are Typhoon Silver, Starry Night, Fiery Red, and Atlas White. In addition to these, the company also offers the i20 with two dual-tone paint colors, which are Atlas White + Black Roof and Fiery Red + Black Roof.

Next up, the presenter talks about the i20 facelift’s engine. The all-new i20 is being offered with the same 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine as the pre-facelift model. This trusted motor produces a maximum of 87 bhp of power and 114 Nm of torque. This engine, as mentioned, comes mated with either a six-speed manual transmission or an optional IVT transmission. He adds that the company has now discontinued the turbo petrol motor as well as the diesel motor.

Moving on, the presenter of the video shows the newly updated front-end design. He starts off with the newly added larger brushed silver Hyundai logo on the front bumper. The car now also gets a different front grille, which now gets numerous high-gloss black elements. The front bumper has also been made more angular and aggressive and now features arrowhead-like designs. He adds that the fog lamps have now been removed from the front of the car. The old projector headlamps have also been replaced by new LED lights with a single-strip LED DRL on top. Lastly, a silver front lip has also been added.

He then shows the single-pane electric sunroof and the sharkfin antenna of the car on its roof. Moving on, the presenter adds that the car now gets a redesigned rear bumper, which features a bigger high-gloss black portion on the bottom and new matte silver Hyundai, i20, and Asta logos. The taillights remain unchanged and get the same signature Z-shape. After this, he shows the side profile and mentions that it now gets a new design for the 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.

Following the exterior updates of the new 2023 i20 facelift, the presenter moves to the interior of the car. He first opens the door and shows the new door pad. He mentions that the company has introduced a new dual-tone interior scheme for the i20 facelift. In the new interior, the top portion of the car is finished in black; however, on the bottom portion, it now boasts a light grey color.

Apart from this major change, the company has also changed a few more things in the interior of the new i20. He adds that the company has utilized the same dashboard layout, infotainment system, and gauge cluster as before. Now, starting with the changes, the company has given this premium hatchback a brand-new 7-speaker BOSE premium audio system upgrade. Additionally, he mentions that the car now also uses the new speaker system to provide an immersive ambient sound experience with seven nature-inspired soundscapes. Next up, the presenter states that the interior of the car also gets a new ambient lighting system. Another small yet important feature added is the new physical volume knob for the same 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

Additionally, the car also gets new semi-leatherette seats, leatherette door armrests, and a brand-new leather-wrapped D-Cut steering wheel, which resembles the one from the mid-size SUV Creta. Apart from these, the company has also included 60+ connected car features, 127 Embedded VR commands, 52 Hinglish voice commands, Over-the-Air updates, Multilanguage UI support with 10 Regional and 2 International languages, and a Type-C charger to charge phones and other devices.
