Drifting is a thrilling motorsport that demands skill and precision, and it has been gaining popularity in India, captivating adrenaline enthusiasts nationwide. There are a ton of upcoming drifters in the country and everyone is trying to build crazy cars that can go drifting at a moment’s notice. Recently one such car build was shared online and this particular car is none other than the Maruti Suzuki Swift but this is not your ordinary Swift. This particular one is a RWD mid-engined Swift and currently, there is no other Swift like it in the country.

The video of this crazy Maruti Suzuki RWD has been shared on YouTube by The Drivers Hub on their channel. It starts off with the presenter mentioning that recently they have been covering a ton of engine-swapped cars, but he adds that this thing is the craziest one yet. He opens the bonnet of the car and states that the front of the car does not have an engine; instead, it has the car’s fuel cell. After which, he explains that the folks at Sportech have changed the location of the engine from the front to the middle of the car, making it a mid-engined rear-wheel-drive drift monster. The presenter opens the rear trunk lid of the car and mentions that in here is the G13B engine from a standard Maruti Suzuki Swift, but it has been changed drastically.

After this, the presenter then shows the front of the car and mentions that the entire car has been gutted from the inside to accommodate the engine. He mentions that there is a metal partition between the front two seats and the rear two seats because the engine gets considerably hotter, and this partition helps in blocking off some of the heat. After this, the presenter then states that the rear two doors have been sealed shut, and the shop has added two additional air channels on each side to provide the engine with fresh air.

He then also shows the Sparco quick releases for the front and rear bumpers. After this, he shows the rear boot lid and mentions that the entire boot lid has been made from fiberglass to save weight. He added that in addition to the fiberglass rear lid, the window has also been made of plexiglass to further save weight.

He stated that they first cut the front half of a crashed Swift and then merged its engine and other structural components with the front half of another Swift. The presenter mentioned that they also added a heavy-duty FIA spec roll cage on the interior of the finished car to make it even more rigid. He stated that merging the two cars in this way resulted in an RWD mid-engined Swift.

The presenter added that, funnily enough, the car still gets the audio head unit which came with the car. The presenter then takes the car out for a spin, and in the video, the presenter can be seen grinning all the time as he drives this insane RWD Maruti Suzuki Swift made for drifting.
