Kia EV6 – an electric car that Mohanlal also owns – in a detailed walkaround video

Kia, one of the popular car manufacturers in India, launched their first-ever electric vehicle, the EV6, in the market last year. It is an electric crossover being sold as a CBU and is also the flagship electric vehicle from the South Korean car maker. As we already know, EVs are slowly gaining popularity among buyers, and even some popular Indian personalities have bought electric cars, including the EV6. Here, we have a detailed walkaround video of a Kia EV6 where a vlogger explains the exterior and interior features of the crossover in detail. Recently, Malayalam movie star Mohanlal, was gifted a Kia EV6.

The video has been uploaded by DR DRIVE on their YouTube channel. In this video, the vlogger starts by talking about the exterior design of the Kia EV6. Like any other Kia product available in India and abroad, the EV6 also looks brilliant in terms of design. It has an extremely sharp and sporty-looking design. The sleek-looking all-LED headlamps, LED DRLs, split front grille, and sloping bonnet with the Kia logo all give the car a premium look. In pictures, the Kia EV6 may look small to many. Many may mistake it for a hatchback; however, it is actually a crossover that is 4,695 mm long, 1,890 mm wide, and 1,550 mm tall.

Moving to the side, the huge 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels are visible. The aerodynamic design of the Kia EV6 is a lot more visible from this angle. Like most modern EVs, the batteries are placed under the floor of the car. The EV6 seen here in this video is the AWD version, which means it gets one electric motor at the front and another for the rear wheels. There is ample ground clearance, and the flush-fitting door handles and sloping roof design give it a clean look. At the rear, the car retains its premium appearance. In many cars, we have seen that manufacturers do not pay much attention to the rear design; however, in this case, the Kia EV6 looks beautiful from all sides.

There are LED taillamps with connecting LED bars on the boot. The charging port on this electric car is positioned on the rear fender just below the taillamp. The vlogger then shows the interior of the EV6. It is a crossover that can comfortably seat five passengers. The EV6 has a spacious boot at the back, which can be opened using the key fob. The key fob also has the function to turn on the AC remotely while the car is locked. The thin-spoke steering wheel, paddle shifters for regen, electrically adjustable driver and co-passenger seats with memory function, two digital screens on the dashboard, rotary-style gear knob, 360-degree camera, ADAS features, and many more are shown in the video.

The vlogger even takes the EV for a spin and is surprised by its performance. It is powered by a 77.4 kWh battery pack located under the floor. There is an RWD and AWD version of the EV6 available in the market. The RWD version generates 229 Ps and 350 Nm of peak torque, while the AWD variant generates 325 Ps and 605 Nm of peak torque. The Kia EV6 will be sold in India in limited numbers as it is a CBU. The ex-showroom price of the EV starts at Rs 60.95 lakh and goes up to Rs 65.95 lakh. Some of the prominent personalities who currently own a Kia EV6 include former Indian cricket team captain MS Dhoni, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, and Telugu actor Nagarjuna.
