Mahindra Scorpio-N Adventure Edition Officially Showcased: Bring This To India! [Video]

To promote the sales of the Scorpio-N in South Africa, Mahindra Automotive has launched the new Scorpio-N Adventure Edition. This new model was showcased with a ton of off-road-specific accessories in South Africa. If it will be making its way to India has not been revealed as of yet. Here are the details of this newly launched Mahindra Scorpio-N Adventure Edition.

Mahindra Scorpio-N Adventure Edition: Details

Exterior

In terms of changes, the Mahindra Scorpio-N Adventure Edition gets a ton of exterior accessories. The first and most noticeable one is the all-new metal front bumper. This particular bumper has been designed to provide a much better approach angle. It comes with two LED fog lights and two auxiliary light pods.

There is also a location to fit an aftermarket winch for recovery. Additionally, it also gets two red tow hooks and a metal skid plate to protect the lower portion from rocks and obstacles. The headlights and the grille have been kept the same as the standard car.

It has to be mentioned that the Scorpio-N Adventure Edition is based on the top-spec Z8 AT 4X4 variant. Now coming to the side profile, this SUV gets more pronounced side claddings finished in matte black. It also gets new multispoke gloss black 18-inch alloy wheels. These wheels have been wrapped in all-terrain tyres.

As for the rear, the Scorpio-N Adventure Edition gets a new rear bumper. It also contributes to a better departure angle. There is also a roof rack finished in black on top of this Scorpio-N. It still gets the rear window wiper, washer, and defogger as it is the top-spec variant.

Interior

Moving on to the interior, this SUV gets the exact same black and brown leather interior as the standard Z8 4X4 Scorpio-N. There is the same 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument gauge cluster, automatic climate control, 12-speaker Sony music system, and a ton of others.

The only difference is the addition of a black metal rack in the rear of the car. This rack has been fitted on top of the rear section of the car which provides additional storage. Apart from this, there are no changes on the inside of the car.

Powertrain details

The Mahindra Scorpio-N comes equipped with a 2.0-litre mStallion turbocharged petrol engine. It produces 200 bhp & 380 Nm. There is also a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that makes 173 bhp & 400 Nm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual gearbox. There is also a 6-speed torque-converter AT.

Just a few weeks ago, the company in India also launched the Mahindra Scorpio-N Z8 Select. The company has launched this variant with a price tag of Rs 16.99 lakh. It goes up to Rs 18.99 lakh. It is around Rs 1.5 lakh cheaper than the Z8 variant.
