honda amaze crash aftermath

India sees a high number of accidents every single day. Here is one from Raigada in Odisha that shows how high-speed can lead to extreme crashes. The owner of the car survived the high-speed crash and then took a picture his injury after coming out of the car.

The accident was caught on a CCTV. The footage shows an empty road where a Honda Amaze enters the frame at an extremely high-speed. The driver had lost the control of the vehicle. It crashes into the central median and then flips to the other side.

The driver of the car, who was alone at the time of the accident came out of the vehicle and clicked a picture with the vehicle and his injuries. Only his finger was injured in the accident and it shows that the driver was not panicking.

The pictures of the vehicle itself, however, looks like it got crumpled badly. The Honda Amaze did absorb a lot of impact and turned into a crumple but it kept the passenger safe, which is the ultimate motive of the safe cars.

Honda Amaze is a 4 star rated car

The Honda Amaze was tested in accordance with NCAP rules and was crashed against a barrier at a speed of 64 km/h with a 40 percent offset. The car received a four-star rating for adult protection from G-NCAP, which also rated the car’s structure and footwell area as stable. This is the base variant of the car, equipped with dual airbags, front seatbelt pre-tensioners, and a driver seatbelt reminder. The car received a score of 14.08 out of 17 for adult safety and 8.16 out of 17 for child safety.

Driving at high-speed is not safe

Riding or driving at such high speeds provides very little reaction time, which can lead to accidents. Riding at slower speeds allows riders and drivers more time to avoid a collision and apply the brakes in time. Vehicles traveling at higher speeds require much more time and distance to come to a stop.

It is crucial to always adhere to the speed limits on Indian roads for safety. Even when the roads appear empty, stray animals or cattle often have unrestricted access to most roads, and they can be highly unpredictable. Whenever you spot any animals or cattle on the road, the safest approach is to reduce your speed. Many times, these animals change their minds at the last moment and may alter their direction.

Moreover, it is important to reduce your speed when passing through populated areas along highways. Most Indian highways pass through major cities, where such incidents are more likely to occur. The livestock belonging to locals and villagers can stray onto the highway and pose a risk to vehicles. This also underscores the importance of dashboard cameras and video cameras in India.
