Man poses half-naked out of moving Hyundai Verna’s sunroof: Police file a case [Video]

In India, most people use sunroofs for various reasons apart from the simple use it is intended for – recirculating the cabin’s air. Here is another video that shows a man standing through the sunroof of a Hyundai Verna and posing for the camera after taking his shirt off. The police have initiated action against the man.

The video, which has gone viral on social media platforms, shows a man coming out of the Hyundai Verna’s sunroof. He is facing the rear of the car and promptly removes his shirt and poses for the camera.

While he may have done this for his social media platforms and to create reels, this is a highly dangerous act that could have ended badly for the man posing for the camera. Additionally, it is illegal to hang out of any vehicle like this, whether it be the windows or the sunroof.

The Ghaziabad Police took note of the incident after people on social media tagged them. They have forwarded the complaint to the relevant departments, which are already working on it. It is likely that we will see police action against the man in a few days.

The act of getting out of a sunroof or any window of a moving car is considered a stunt on public roads and is illegal. In fact, it is mandatory for all passengers in India to wear seatbelts when in a moving car. Failure to do so may result in a hefty fine from the police. In the past, there have been instances when the police have issued challans to motorists who have come out of the sunroof on public roads.

How you should use sunroofs?

Sunroofs are primarily designed for air circulation. In India, where most cities are highly polluted, the use of sunroofs does not make any sense, which is why people think of these as an opening to go through and stand to allow the wind to hit their faces.

However, keeping windows open at high speeds can cause the air to directly hit the eyes, which may cause problems. The sunroof is designed to recycle the air without much wind disturbance. Nevertheless, most people use the opening to stand out of the vehicle. This is highly dangerous, especially for children, as sudden braking may throw them out and debris like small stones from other vehicles may hit them and cause injuries. Electric wires also pose a grave threat to people who hang out of the roof.
