Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Electric MPV: What it’ll look like [Video]

2025 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga EV featured

The country’s largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, at the moment does not offer an electric vehicle in its India portfolio. However, a few years ago, reports of the company working on an electrified version of its super-popular MPV Ertiga emerged. Now, recently giving an image to these speculations, a rendering of what could be the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga EV has been shared online. This rendered image gives us a sneak peek into the electrified future of the Maruti Suzuki brand.

The rendering of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga EV has been shared on YouTube by SRK Designs on their channel. From the rendered image, we can note that it boasts an extremely futuristic exterior design. This is unlike the outgoing ICE model and looks very different. We can only note a faint design cue of the outgoing model in front of this EV MPV. But apart from that, the rest of the vehicle gets a brand-new design.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga EV Design: Front

On the front fascia of the Ertiga EV render, we can note that it gets a differently designed hexagonal front grille that comes with individual light elements. The LED headlights have also been completely redesigned and now appear to be a lot sleeker, reminding us of the Tesla Model X SUV’s sleek headlights. Additionally, the unique part about this headlamp design setup is that it gets LED DRLs which surround the entire headlight and then connect both ends with a strip above the front grille.

Moving down below on the front bumper, we can note that it has been given a very clean and clutter-less design. One of the most standout features of this bumper is the addition of trapezoidal-shaped LED DRLs which take the place of traditional fog lamps. Also, in between these LED DRLs, we can note a huge air dam. This is also unique to this rendering because generally, electric vehicles do not require such massive airways on the front as there is no traditional cooling system behind the front bumper. Nevertheless, the front end of this rendered model looks very modern and futuristic.

Side Profile

Next up on the side profile, we can note that this rendered Ertiga EV looks completely different than the ICE Ertiga MPV. It gets a much sleeker design with increased height and a new silhouette. It gets squared-off wheel arches with black claddings. We can also note a set of very futuristic-looking bigger alloy wheels. Additionally, we can also note that the doors get flush-type door handles, adding to the futuristic design language adopted for this rendering. At the moment, there is no rear design render of the Ertiga EV.
