Just a few years ago, not a lot of Indian carmakers used to offer the color black as an option for their vehicles. However, with the launch of the Dark Edition models from Tata Motors, a lot of carmakers have started offering their cars in the shade of black. One of the most recent car makers to start offering such black edition cars in India is none other than Maruti Suzuki. Recently, a video of Maruti Suzuki’s one of the most affordable offerings – S-Presso’s black edition model has been shared online.

The in-depth walkaround video of the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso Black Edition has been shared on YouTube by Cruise Rider on their channel. The presenter starts the video by first showing the key of the model which is the same as most of the base model cars from the brand. He then talks about the pricing of the S-Presso, which starts at Rs 4.26 lakh and goes up to Rs 6.12 lakh.

Following the price, the presenter talks about the engine specifications of this tiny hatchback/SUV. The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso comes powered by a K10 Series 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine which makes around 65 bhp of power and 89 Nm of torque. It comes with the option between two transmissions – first is a 5-speed manual, and the second is an AMT gearbox. After elaborating on the engine specifications, the presenter starts talking about the S-Presso’s exterior design. He starts at the front of the vehicle and mentions that from the front, it looks very busy owing to the tooth-like front grille, big halogen headlamps, and big grilles for the radiator. He adds that in this Pearl Midnight Black color, it looks amazing.

The vlogger then moves to the side profile of the vehicle and mentions that it boasts a tall boy stance. He shows the fender-mounted turn signals and then the 14-inch steel rims with silver wheel covers. He states that the company could have provided the vehicle with some bigger wheels as the smaller wheels do not inspire confidence. Next up he shows the rear end of the S-Presso Black Edition which gets a chrome strip and halogen taillights.

After showing the exterior in detail, he moves to the interior of the vehicle and shows it. The S-Presso, unlike other Maruti Suzuki cars, does not come with the traditional dashboard layout. Instead, it gets a centrally mounted instrument gauge cluster and a 2-din audio system. The car also gets manual air conditioning controls and manual rear window levers. He shows that this particular car has been equipped with leather seat covers; however, they are a part of the dealer accessories. The overall interior of the S-Presso is pretty basic and uses hard plastics all around.
