Tata Nexon To Soon Get Panoramic Sunroof: Mahindra XUV 3XO Effect [Video]

Nexon to get panoramic sunroof

Sunroof is one of those features that either makes or breaks the deal for many car buyers. This particular feature has gained a lot of popularity, and this is why many manufacturers are offering it even with the lower variants. The recently launched Mahindra XUV 3OO comes with an electric sunroof in the lower variants, and the higher versions get the panoramic sunroof. It looks like Tata Motors also took inspiration from Mahindra and has decided to offer this feature. A video of a Tata Nexon SUV with a panoramic sunroof has been circulating online lately.

The video has been shared by Bunny Punia on his Instagram page. In this video, we see a Tata Nexon SUV parked inside the production facility. We see a person sitting inside the Nexon and talking about the car. The person recording the video doesn’t show how the SUV looks from the outside.

There are not going to be any cosmetic changes, as Tata updated the SUV very recently. The only update on this vehicle is going to be the sunroof. It looks like the manufacturer has already started working on the panoramic sunroof.

We see the person opening the sunroof of the Nexon. The car is parked inside the plant, and it looks like the manufacturer might be testing this new addition thoroughly at the moment.

The person recording the video can be heard saying that this version has not started reaching dealerships yet. We can expect it to hit the dealership in the next couple of weeks. We see the cabin of the Tata Nexon in this video, and everything looks the same as before. We see Tata’s new twin-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo in the center. The car also comes with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital instrument cluster.

Tata already offers the Nexon with an electric sunroof; however, with the launch of the XUV 3OO in the market, the competition went up. The Mahindra XUV 3OO even offers features like level 2 ADAS, which no other manufacturer in the segment offers. This is actually a classic case of how healthy competition benefits the customer.

With the introduction of a panoramic sunroof in the Nexon, customers now have more options. It needs to be seen if Tata will be offering the panoramic sunroof only with the higher variants or across all the sunroof versions. The Tata Nexon is available with both petrol and diesel engine options.

The petrol version of the Nexon is powered by a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that generates 118 Bhp and 170 Nm of peak torque. This engine option is available with manual, AMT, and DCA gearbox options. The diesel version, on the other hand, uses a 1.5-liter turbocharged unit that generates 113 Bhp and 260 Nm of peak torque. The diesel version is available with manual and AMT gearbox options.

The price for a brand-new Tata Nexon starts at Rs 7.99 lakh ex-showroom and goes up to Rs 15.80 lakh ex-showroom. The updated version of the Tata Nexon with the panoramic sunroof is expected to be priced in the same range as the current one. Also, we expect Mahindra to introduce this feature with the Nexon.ev too.
