Following the launch of this model, the company sold a ton of them and then introduced the more expensive Legender variant of the Type Three model. In this video, the owner of the shop explains in detail the background behind the conversion. He starts off by mentioning that the Toyota Fortuner is the most reliable SUV in India and it has gained an immense amount of popularity for the same reason. He added that the resale value of this SUV is very high considering its price and segment.

He then went on to say that following the launch of the Type Three Fortuner, Toyota introduced a facelift of the model, and not too many people bought it. However, they also launched another variant called the Legender, which was a much more expensive variant. He added that a ton of people want to get the Legender variant, but its ex-showroom cost of Rs 55 lakh has turned many customers away.

He added that the next best option for the majority of people is to buy an aftermarket Legender kit and get it fitted to their existing Type Three Fortuners. He then added that this is exactly what this Fortuner owner decided to go with. He also added that another unique thing this customer has gone for is that instead of going with the standard Legender kit, he has gone with the GR Sport Legender kit, which is an even rarer iteration of the current-gen Fortuner.

Following this introduction, the owner of the shop mentioned that the owner of this particular Fortuner did not want to get a full paint job; instead, he just wanted to get the kit installed and have the roof finished in black. After this, the car is then shown getting disassembled, painted, and then reassembled with the new kit.

After finishing the job, the owner of the shop gave a brief walkaround of the car and mentioned that for this conversion job, they changed the front headlamps, grille, and bumper, along with the rear taillamps and bumper. Additionally, they have also changed the roof liner of the car to black and have added a starlight roof liner along with a GR Sport-specific steering.
