The Toyota Innova can easily be regarded as one of the most successful MPVs in India. It was first launched back in 2005, and since then, the company has sold over a million units of this model across various generations and types. Recently, a transformation of one such type 2 Innova into a type 4 model has been shared online. As per the shop, this is probably the only Toyota Innova type 2 in the country with the unique Alphard kit and BMW’s Nardo Grey paint job.

They have multiple locations in India. The shop is known for similar projects of facelifts, high-end paint jobs, and interior work on popular Indian and luxury cars.
Toyota Innova Type 2 to Type 4 with Alphard kit
In this particular transformation video, the owner of the shop highlights that this is the most unique Toyota Innova conversion that they have done. He states that they have converted a ton of Innova type 2s to type 4 and type 4 with Lexus kit. However, they have never added the Alphard kit to a type 2 Innova.
Following this, he then mentions that apart from the Alphard kit, the major challenge for them on this project was to finalize a color. He stated that they sent three color samples to the owner via mail and waited for their response. The owner mentioned that they sent a light green shade of Mercedes Benz, another dark shade, and this last color, which got finalized.
He then revealed that this last color was the Nardo Grey. This particular color is a very popular choice amongst automotive enthusiasts, and it is offered by both Audi and BMW. It is a solid color with no metallic flakes in it, and it looks extremely sporty.
Following the color choice, the owner of the shop added they also reupholstered the interior. They completely blacked out all of the interior and added wine-red color leather seats. Apart from this, they also added ambient lighting and other minor details, which made this car look extremely sporty.
Transformation process
Next up, after giving all the briefing about this project, the video then shows the complete transformation project. The car first gets completely stripped, and it is fitted with the new bonnet, bumpers, and headlights.
After this, the car then goes for dent removal and repairs, and then after a base coat of primer, it goes into the temperature-controlled paint booth. Following this, the Innova type 2 now gets completely sprayed in the sporty Nardo Grey shade. Finally, after getting the clear coats, the car is finished.
The video then shows the reassembly of the car, and the owner then highlights the new changes. He shows the newly installed and painted Alphard kit, which includes a brand-new bumper with a massive grille, new dual projector LED headlights, and new smoked LED taillights. He adds that they have also given this car new side skirts and a new rear bumper with dummy exhausts.
