Toyota Kirloskar Motor recently launched the new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga-based Rumion 7-seater MPV. The company launched this model to sit under the Toyota Innova HyCross and Crysta models and lure in budget MPV buyers. This is another badge-engineered model that Toyota has launched in collaboration with the country’s largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki. Recently, a video walkaround of this new MPV’s mid-spec G variant has been shared online.

The in-depth walkaround video of the all-new Toyota Rumion has been shared on YouTube by The Car Show on their channel. It starts off with the pricing of the MPV, which currently starts at Rs 10.29 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs 13.68 lakh. It then adds that the vehicle comes in three variants, namely the S, G, and the V variant. The presenter then mentions that the particular car in front is the G variant, which is the mid-spec variant and it comes with a price tag of Rs 11.45 lakh.

Following this, the video shows the front end of the new Toyota Rumion. The presenter states that it gets a differently designed grille compared to the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga MPV on which it is based. At first glance, it reminds one of the fascia of the Toyota Innova Crysta. He adds that the car gets a full halogen setup with halogen-based projector headlamps and fog lamps. He adds that the top-spec variant and this mid-spec variant look almost exactly the same from the front. Both get a decent amount of chrome on the front.

Next up, he moves to the side profile of the car. He adds that from the side as well, the Toyota Rumion G and V variants look extremely similar. When compared to the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, the Rumion gets a different style of 7-spoke 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Next up, he mentions that the car gets request sensors on the chrome-plated door handles at the front for easier keyless access. Next up, he moves to the rear end of the vehicle and adds that apart from Toyota badging, the car looks identical to the Ertiga MPV. He adds that it comes equipped with a rear wiper, washer, and defogger along with LED taillights.

Following the exterior, the presenter opens the front driver-side door and shows the interior of the vehicle. He mentions that the interior, at first glance, looks identical to the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. He shows the door cards of the vehicle and mentions that it uses semi-hard touch plastic. He also shows the electronically foldable rearview mirrors. Next up, he mentions that the entire interior comes in the beige color theme. The Toyota Rumion MPV comes equipped with a start/stop button, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a small MID screen on the instrument cluster, and an automatic air conditioning system.

Next up, he once again moves to the exterior of the vehicle and opens the bonnet to show the engine. The presenter mentions that the Toyota Rumion comes equipped with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine that is the same as the Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder and the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. He adds that this engine produces a maximum of 102 PS of power and 137 Nm of torque.
