Upcoming Ola electric car: Patent images show what the new EV will look like

Ola Electric, the Bengaluru-based EV startup founded by Ola Cabs founder Bhavish Aggarwal, is set to make its mark in the automotive industry with its upcoming electric car. Recently, the design patent of Ola Electric’s first car was leaked online, providing a glimpse into the expected design language. While the leaked images represent the concept form, it is anticipated that the final production version will differ. The leaked patent pictures reveal a sedan-like shape with a roofline that resembles a coupe and extends to the rear profile before blending into the trunk. Even though Ola Electric hasn’t shown the rear profile, the leaked photographs paint a positive picture of their design philosophy.

Moving on to the interior details of the Ola Electric car, they were previously teased, and now the leaked patent images offer further insights. The cabin will feature a cool blue ambient lighting behind the steering wheel, accompanied by a free-standing digital instrument cluster displaying a digital speedometer readout. In terms of the drivetrain side of things the specific powertrain details for the Ola Electric car are yet to be revealed. The company has also targeted an impressive acceleration time of under four seconds for the 0-100 km/h sprint, positioning the car as a performance-oriented vehicle.
