Volkswagen has once again introduced limited-edition models! Following the launch of the Taigun GT Edge Trail Edition last month, Volkswagen has introduced a limited Sound Edition for both of its India 2.0 models—the Taigun SUV and Virtus sedan. The Taigun and Virtus Sound Editions are based on the top-spec Topline variant of both models.

The alterations in the Volkswagen Taigun and Virtus Sound Editions are minimal, primarily involving a contrast white finish for the roof and outside rearview mirrors. Additionally, exclusive “Sound Edition” graphics adorn the C-pillars of both models. These Sound Edition models of the Volkswagen Taigun and Virtus are available in four colors—Carbon Steel Grey, Rising Blue, Lava Red, and Wild Cherry Red. Moreover, these models feature all-LED headlamps, fog lamps, and 16-inch machined alloy wheels.

Being based on the Topline variants, the Sound Edition Taigun and Virtus also boast leatherette upholstery, a full-TFT instrument console, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless charger, ventilated front seats, a sunroof, and automatic climate control with rear AC vents.

While the changes in the limited Sound Edition may seem minimal with the contrasting white highlights on the exterior, the enhanced sound system offered over the usual Topline variants could be a significant change for car buyers who prioritize a high-quality audio system. Volkswagen is currently relying on these limited-edition variants of the Taigun and Virtus, which have become the sales drivers for the German brand in India. Besides these two models, Volkswagen might introduce the facelifted Tiguan in the coming months, as it has already debuted in global markets.
